But not LOS.
Someone hasn't been reading the world's infection statistics. No way is the whole world over this. Granted that Omicron (and sons of Omicron) are milder versions of Covid 19 but the sheer increase in numbers is once once again filling up available hospital beds.

If 'face nappies' were in common use in the UK maybe they could reduce the horrendous infection figures there - 21,000 new infections a day and 87 new deaths a day. (source: Worldometer)

Me too

Just like him, I get angered by the bigots who coin terms like "woke" to attack people like this guy who are enlightened.
too - he's angry for all the right reasons. and I'm proudly woke.

Perhaps Pence, as a Republican politician, should have a quick glance at the figures on what the US voter actually wants - and its not stricter aborton laws.

in view of the huge numbers of infections in the UK ('though the various Omikrons seem milder) i will certainly wear a mask when I'm there. Yesterday UK 68 deaths, Thailand 17 deaths. Even allowing for some under-reporting Thailand seems to be getting it right. WHO is currently holding Thailand up as an example to be followed.

If I get a boat to Thailand and enter Thailand illegally and stay in Thailand without a visa and ask Thailand to grant me permeant residency as well as food, money and accommodation and a work visa .
I trust that you would fully support me in my quest for a better life ?
But Thailand, with an aging population, is crying out for more immigrants - one of the reasons why Thailand has just agreed with Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia to ease the entry rules. ( and of course Britain has similar problems - just ask any fruit farmer or NHS hospital manager.)

Don't know about Thailand, but in the UK many trash bins were removed due to religion of peace terrorism issues !
The moment the terrorism issue arose the French replaced their waste bins with transparent plastic(!) ones.

It is very disheartening. Nothing is being done about the killings. The dems are cowed by the progressives, and the Republicans lack any sort of moral compass, and are owned by the NRA, and the orange one, and are stuck in an 18th century mindset. We deserve our guns! We need our guns! You can't take away our guns! Nothing wrong with having a few guns in the house. But, there is something very, very wrong, when an insane 18 year old can easily buy assault rifles and 350 rounds of ammunition and walk right into a school and take out more people than have been mass murdered in many nations combined for decades, in one day. And there is something infinitely more wrong with America when nobody has to guts to do anything about it.
The US is a very sick, demented, twisted, confused, and morally bankrupt culture. It is a nation in rapid decline. It is not even a pale shadow of what it used to be. I am infinitely disappointed in my country. They could do so much better.
According to the Gun Violence Archive, a nonprofit that tracks shootings in the US, there have been 214 mass shootings in 2022 alone.
The United States has far more lax firearm laws and policies compared to other countries — the federal right to own a firearm is even baked into the United States' constitution via the Second Amendment.

When one sees the difference in the death rates from Covid in Britain (178,000) and Thailand (30,000) - two countries with similar populations - I can't help thinking that Thailand has been immeasurably more successful at managing the pandemic while I accept that in both countries figures have been massaged to a certain degree. And Britain had the supreme advantage of being an island but there were no efforts at any form of sanitary controls at ports and airports until well into the pandemic. Thailand is wise to take these relatively mild precautions.

Clutching at straws here but as the vote will shortly be returned to those living for over 15 years outside the UK, perhaps the half million cheated pensioners will now be able to carry some weight with MPs.

Happens in Europe too - remember the collapse of part of the new terminal building 2E at Charles De Gaulle Airport in 2004, killing two passengers? And there was no bad weather - simply poor design/engineering.

A little bit when other residents don't return the caddies back to reception after use. If that's the full extent of my discontent, I reckon I'm pretty lucky and happy in my condo.
