Crystal clear if you open the article.

It's the area at the lighthouse before it goes uphill towards Royal Cliff.

It's a pity that there is no more restaurant.

Was very pleasant to sit there at sundown.

It's not an elevated viewpoint though.

So comparing it with Promthep Cape in Phuket is silly.

that little retaurant got closed down some years ago, aparently it should not have been built there....something to do with ENCROACHMENT.....!!

On Saturday i went to Tesco and asked the manager (She speaks English), why they do not accept the bills unless Thai id accompanies the bill, but she was unable to explain why this has to be done. She took my telephone number and stated she would get back to me with the answer.  Waiting, Waiting, Waiting ha ha ha

you will be waiting as long as the Pattaya tram comes into town.....and the H S R....

Also, will related Pedestrian rules be within the handbook?

    Thanks.

Words on their own are a waste of time and energy...

     Need accompanying relevant image(s)

This car  tried to cross the road...

    Image may contain: car

The Honda crotch rocket rider was traveling at approximately 85 mph.
The VW driver was talking on a cell phone when she pulled out from a side street, apparently not seeing the motorcycle. The rider's reaction time was not sufficient enough to avoid this accident.

The car had two passengers and the bike rider was found INSIDE the car with them.
The Volkswagen actually flipped over from the force of impact and landed 20 feet from where the collision took place.

All three involved (two in the car and the bike rider) were killed instantly. This graphic demonstration was placed at the Motorcycle Fair by the Police and Road Safety Department..

Pass this on to car drivers or soon to be new drivers, or new motorcycle owners and especially everyone you know who has a MOBILE phone!!!
A picture is worth a thousand words.

Save a life. Stop talking on mobile phones and Texting while trying to drive.
The life you save may be your own..... Or mine...

Keep passing this on so everyone will see what can happen by using a mobile PHONE while driving

perhaps should use this in the VIDEO we are ALL suppose to WATCH when applying for a driving licence, or renewing an old one??? !!!

They extort with equal indifference from foreigners and Thai’s !!!

I’ve had accidents here in Thailand, its not a case of ‘foreigner is always wrong’... the Police will try to take the path of least resistance for an easier life, in almost every incident involving a car and bike the BiB will automatically try and blame the car driver (just because they are more likely to be able to afford repairs), if the foreigner is a wimp and going to fold at the first suggestion of blame then the BiB will happily let him take the fall.

Politely standing your ground works perfectly well in ‘most’ cases (there will always be an exception).

    dual standards comes to mind.....

I travel down the railway road pretty much every day and it never ceases to amaze me the idiotic stunts that people pull to try to save a few seconds. Coming through any of the junctions is highly dangerous and you really have to be super on the ball. Just because you have right of way does not mean some fool will not do exactly what happened here.

BUT just WHO does HAVE the RIGHT of way??

I avoid that road as much as I can ......no stop lines/give way lines.......
