Wow some big spending pensioners must live in your village . And if you all left , village would die of starvation
We have two dealerships in town. We used to have 3. The local car dealers and builders confirm that there is less money now that foreigners are holding on to more of their money. If you don't want to believe it, I really don't care..

In the village I live in. If Farangs don't spend money, the locals don't get to buy new cars. Basically, "what goes around, comes around".

Most of these migrants don't qualify for asylum. Being poor is not a qualification for asylum.
First, an asylum applicant must establish that he or she fears persecution in their home country. Second, the applicant must prove that he or she would be persecuted on account of one of five protected grounds: race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or particular social group.

How about the fact that Farangs need to keep their money in the bank now? They can't be buying new cars. That might dip their accounts below the Immigration enforced thresholds.

Well, at least now I know which hostesses to be nicer to. I'll still be nice and respectful to all of them. But, a little nicer to the yxxxg, one's.

Tourists shouldn't even held responsible; if they want to kill themselves, that's up to them.
The rental companies should be held 100% responsible for injuries to any innocent parties, and be made to pay for hospital bills, funerals, and repairs to any damaged vehicles; if they have to sell their fleet and homes in order to pay, tough shit! Perhaps then, they will all abide by the law, and not rent to the unlicenced tourists.
Meanwhile, unlicenced Thais need to be prosecuted, and have their vehicles crushed!
Being as the PM has decreed that the army and police will still have the authority to stop and search, they could be filling the courts on a daily basis.
Just my daily rant; usually to myself, but I've made my dogs wait for their walk while I share it with you.
Will the car rental places at the airport rent me a car if I don't produce a license? Just wondering, but betting they won't.

No, it's not. That big, beautiful wall that Mexico was gonna pay for is not under construction and never will be unless Mexico finally says "Enough is enough! " and seals off the border from those crazy gringos.

It's good you posted your experience, some people are convinced they will all be Intl if Bangkok Bank is used
In all fairness, I was one that defended the idea that Bangkok Bank was a sure bet. Needless to say, I have changed my tune.

This has been reported here before.
I also remember that somebody said he contacts Transferwise when doing the transfer, and they will then make sure that it goes directly into his Bangkok bank account, but don't remember the details anymore.
I remember hearing the same thing. Not sure how you do that. But, the fact remains. The damage is done. No way to fix it. Just glad I have a 2nd option.

Just a heads up to all those that transfer money every month to Bangkok Bank using Transferwise.
I just received my 10th transfer (10 mo.) using Transferwise. The past 9 months have all come to my BKK bank account as an international transfer. This time however, it showed up as an "interbank transfer". Meaning it went to another bank in Thailand first and then was transferred to my BKK bank account from there.
I don't use the 65K method for my extension normally, but I was going to try it if I could show 12 months of transfers. So basically, if I was dependent on the 65K a month transfer. I guess I could take a gamble and send another transfer in hopes that it comes through as an international transfer. If that was beyond my budget, i'm not sure what I would do. But, because I use the 800K method, I won't be doing that.
Just fair warning to those that are depending on Transferwise to send all of your transfers FTT. Be aware.
I recommend you have a backup plan.

Who the hell transfers between airports?? Sure in unusual circumstance some people would, or when they screwed up a booking. But generally speaking people dont need to transfer directly between the two on the same day.
Flying to BKK from Roi et. The only option is to fly into DMK. From there you must take alternate transportation to Suvarnabhumi. IE, taxi, bus. Takes about 45 minutes to an hour. A high speed rail would be great.

Actually it's the opposite.
Now that the Muller report is out and going to be fully accessed by the Congress, Trump is vulnerable to listen suggestions from Bolton's and his military / oil friends to start a war with Iran.
"Hey Don, a war with Iran would make your internal USA troubles to go away."
That's the oldest and dirtiest trick in the politics. When in trouble internally, start a war, which hopefully will unite the nation.
I think it is more "Wag the Dog".

The new evidence doesn’t mean cigarettes are safer than e-cigarettes. In fact, medical experts agree that vaping is far better for health than smoking, one of the deadliest habits known to humankind.
The other one is telling your wife she is looking a little fat these days.????

Can't come soon enough for me. I really need to kick the habit for health reasons. Tried vaping when back in the UK, seemed the ideal means of making the transition to me.

Trump is able to do all this because Congress is too occupied with the wanted Barr testimony. The world is coming apart but Congress is numb to it.

Steer clear of dogs; full stop. They can develop a pack mentality, and rip you to pieces if you dare look at one of the leaders.
Bring back he dog-wagon.
PS: just one thing has crossed my mind. Can you catch rabies from eating dog stew? Assuming the dog was infected in the first place.
From Thaivisa.com
MUKDAHAN: -- Thirteen Isan youths who dug up a pile of dead dogs to eat found out two days later that the animals had rabies.
The youths had to be rushed to hospital in Mukdaharn to have vaccinations, reports Thairath.
Animal welfare authorities in the province said Wednesday that they had visited the village of Khok Sung in Bang Sai Yai sub-district on Monday after the poo yai ban Withaya Thongmaha, 53, had reported lots of dogs biting each other in the area. She thought the packs may well have rabies.
The welfare authorities went to the area and rounded up many suspect animals. They cut the heads off the animals and buried the corpses.
The cut off heads were sent for analysis to Khon Kaen. Some while after the poo yai ban said that she had heard that at least ten youths had dug up the corpses and eaten the dogs for food.
A total of 13 youths were contacted and taken to hospital for jabs after it emerged that the dogs did indeed have rabies.
No reason was given for why the youths had eaten the dogs.
Meanwhile, vaccinations of all dogs was taking place in a two-mile radius of the outbreak and villagers were being warned to watch out for the behavior of dogs who they suspect might have the deadly disease.

I have a serious illness now, but I have accepted my destiny and situation, since it's on a late stage. Operation are possible but not recommended due to high risk for heart attacks under / after operation in ICU. Also high risk of reduced life quality after, if one survive. So I will continue live here.
If I was on a early stage, I would go for operation in Thailand or Singapore only.

If they want fixed deposit, they have to abandon annual extension renewal and 90-day reporting. I don't think it is going to happen. Nothing has changed for TI. They even don't have to issue any new police order. The existing police order will work if you can show 65K/40K every month coming to a Thai bank (no embassy letter)
Existing police order says nothing about the monthly income having to be deposited in a Thai Bank. Only says must show proof of income. Doesn't even say it must come from out of the country. If I am missing something, I wish someone would produce the order number.

Sorry, but you do not know what you are talking about. You can give permission to release your private information from as many organizations as you like, it only needs the right paperwork. If it means that you fill in 2 or 3 "authorisation" (I better get that correct or you would not know what I am talking about) then that is what you do.
The same as giving a hospital permission to obtain your medical records from another hospital or doctor.

Thailand keeping track of foreigners – the TM30 reporting form
in Thailand News
Posted
OK, here's a question.
I have two nephews coming from Germany in November. They were both born in Thailand but relocated at a young age to Germany. They are now German citizens.
They will be here in November to become temporary monks. They will be here for about a month. They are going to enter the country on German passports. Part of the time before entering the temple to do what they need to for the monk-hood, they will be staying with us. Of course they will be staying at the temple when doing their studying after the ceremony.
My question is. Is the temple suppose to notify immigration that two foreigners are staying at the temple? That they are becoming monks? Also, are we suppose to notify immigration that we have temporary guest in out house that are here to become monks? I am sure this sounds as ridiculous to you as it does to me, but what is the rule?
