Cannot communicate with MG Thailand.
It depends on the quality control used by other vehicle manufacturers. For a brand such as Toyota, Mazda, Kia or Hyundai, I bet any Chinese-sourced part is subject to rigorous scrutiny and specifications. They have their reputations to protect. OTOH, vehicles made solely in China are questionable, because no-one knows what QC is used, or how effective it is. China is a dictatorship that guards information, remember?

Aussies retain The Ashes
With England weather that might take a fortnight. They'd have to be dedicated spectators. Here's a reminder of English weather, from a couple of your own:

Aussies retain The Ashes
IIRC, the Maxwell family is nothing to boast about either. AFAIK we haven't had government ministers shagging or being shagged by Soviet spies. Perhaps you are too young to remember Profumo. History can be painful sometimes. Aren't we getting off topic a tad? Australia won on British soil, wickets doctored to Stokes's specifications. England lost. Bairstow's dismissal was within the rules of the game, something he has done himself. It's a bridge too far to claim that cost England the Ashes. There's an old saying, catches win matches. I suspect if the two sides are compared, that is the real reason. Bairstow alone missed chances Carey would have swallowed.

No. It was an article I read some time ago in MSM, think it was ABC news.

IIRC the Nazis did not invent concentration camps, they copied the British. Not much morality there.

That's real too. How do you think guys like Zuckerberg got to be billionaires?

Aussies retain The Ashes
Slagging off British folk is a national sport in Australia. It's caused by the toffee-nosed attitude of Brits who emigrate here, then bitch about how life is so much better back in the UK. You can't expect Aussies to respect a country whose cuisine consists of cold pork pies, warm beer, and grey cabbage.

The convention, or the friends? My friends are quite real.

Diary of a farang in Isaan
From what I have seen at the condo pool, most Thais dog-paddle. Aussie swimmers are good because there is a lot of taxpayer-funded organization support behind them.

friend requests on FaceBook
Every year, there is a big cyber convention in Las Vegas. Organizations such as Facebook, Line , Onlyfans etc. parcel up the personal information of thousands of the people who register with them, and auction off the data to the highest bidder. Which of course includes scammers, phishers and hackers. It's why I avoid most social media. I have enough real-life friends.

I certainly think so, second fastest Test century ever. He could tear a bowling attack to shreds in a few overs.

Aussies retain The Ashes
Shane Warne (RIP ) was a useful lower order batsman. Andrew Symonds (RIP ) was a batting all-rounder, and an exceptional fielder. Alan Border backed up his batting with spin bowling. There's also Richie Benaud and Alan Davidson as all-rounders.

I'm talking about used cars, are those new car sales?

Yards which have turnover, not vehicles sitting there without moving for 6 months or more.

Aren't you making judgment too early? He's only 24 yo.

Green needs time to develop, he could be a match-winner like Stokes as an all-rounder. Green Is 24, Neser is 33. He does better in the shorter game forms. Nothing wrong with Green as a fielder.

Aussies retain The Ashes
I doubt it, when they were practicing against guys like Starc, Cummins and Hazlewood in the nets. Admittedly having Joffra Archer alongside Wood is an attack to be reckoned with. The English side has been carrying Jimmy Anderson. I could equally argue Nathan Lyon's injury during the Second Test deprived Australia of one of the world's best spinners for the next two Tests. Jeff Thomson was the bowler who really petrified batsmen. His ability to get a ball to rear up off a full length was fearsome.

Thais are sinking deeply into debt
Effectively, what you are saying is the cards issued to farangs are really debit cards. Which are common in Western countries. I had an Amex card once, and got tired of tracking what I was doing so I could claim rewards, and avoid interest charges. At least with a debit card, I was spending my own money, and not someone else's that I would have to repay.

EV Concerns EVs On Fire
Is that a baby angora, or a dog?

EV Concerns EVs On Fire
IIRC the Toyota Prius was the first hybrid. Claims made for their fuel economy over a full ICE are somewhat exaggerated. It did give comfort to the virtue signallers, however.

EV Concerns EVs On Fire
I have never had a problem with acknowledging the advantages of EV's, such as running costs, noise, and environmental sustainability IF recharged from renewable energy. Range anxiety is a problem. If one runs out of electrons on the road, a jerrycan of gasoline won't fix it, and a diesel generator (ironic) brought to the site will be sloooow. It costs very little to fix a leaking petrol tank. I've done it with plain soap and water. OTOH, an EV battery with any kind of malfunction requires specialist attention. The other aspect is time to charge. There is one charging station on the 118 going out of Chiang Mai. Among 9 gasoline pumps. If one or two cars are there before you, it's a long wait. BTW, the adjective you want is "moot". Mute means silent, which is an attribute I have not observed in you.

EV Concerns EVs On Fire
There are lies, damned lies, and statistics. Batteries are stored energy, just as a gasoline tank is. While it may be true EV's have less fires than ICE's, the statistics could well have a different look if one started analysing the frequency of fires in the BYD brand alone. EV's with some are virtue signalling, which is BS when the electricity to recharge them comes from fossil fuel power stations. It's the people who refuse to acknowledge EV's have some disadvantages, which ICE's don't have, who are the ones with closed minds.

Aussies retain The Ashes
As Pat Cummins said, an anticlimax. The Poms should not whinge about their weather having saved Australia from defeat, the same weather has saved their bacon multiple times.

I have always been content to buy secondhand, or equipment that has proven its reliability. Others can be the lab rats for new stuff.
