Is It Better to Date a “6” Than a “10” in Thailand?

I probably would have continued, but she took off to Bangkok looking for work after 7 sessions. Lost contact with her. -

I still remember a homely woman I had sex with here, what is referred to as a charity bonk. She would have been at best a 5. Her saving grace was lovely breasts, perfect size and shape. For me, anyway. Much to my surprise, she was one of the best lays I have ever had. It was mostly her attitude, she so obviously enjoyed getting laid. -
100 grams of lychees contain 15 grams of sugar. His reading is probably due to the fact half the sugar is fructose, which does not register on a glucose monitor.

Trump’s big fat abject lie …and why he keeps telling it.
Lacessit replied to Red Phoenix's topic in Off the beaten track
I am not sure how the ratio of 20:1 lung cancer in smokers vs non-smokers is a theory. It's a fact, with huge populations of data assembled over 50 years to support it. I suppose one could argue smoking causes lung cancer is a theory, if one is employed by a tobacco company. -
Blueberries are in the top echelon as far as antioxidants go. Red and black grapes have about 15-20 grams of sugars per serving, so it's a mixed bag. The link of antioxidants with regulating insulin and glucose is tenuous, studies are conflicting as to their effectiveness.

Grapes are high in sugar. Raisins and sultanas are even worse.

To use just one example, it would take one hell of a turnaround for lung cancer to vary from the current ratio of 20 smokers to a single non-smoker, and probably a century to do it. Confounding variables, such as air pollution per se, might change the statistic. -
It's called between a rock and a hard place. If interest rates in Russia drop, inflation will increase, and the ruble will go even further down the toilet. It's the Ukraine war and sanctions doing it, and neither look like coming off the table.

Putin has a large protection staff. So do all the oligarchs. It's a question of who gets in first.

My blood test figures don't lie. Fruit is glucose and fructose. Refined sugar is also glucose and fructose, in the form of sucrose. Glucose is what is reported in blood tests. Fructose is processed by the liver. Stick to strawberries, raspberries and blueberries if you want minimum sugar. Bananas, mangoes and lychees are loaded with sugars.

Taxation is a morass of regulation and loopholes in most countries. Tax evasion and avoidance are a national sport, facilitated by armies of tax lawyers and accountants. Multinational companies park their profits in tax havens, using artificial loans with fiddled interest rates to minimize their tax obligations in the countries where they made the profit. The average American family paid $17,902 in federal taxes in 2021. In 2016 and 2017, Donald Trump paid $750 each year in federal taxes. Other billionaires in America do the same. Quite legally. https://www.propublica.org/article/the-secret-irs-files-trove-of-never-before-seen-records-reveal-how-the-wealthiest-avoid-income-tax Consider the following: Every business has a profit and loss statement. Every expenditure is deducted from the income made selling goods and services. The net profit is the only component which is taxed. The business is allowed to depreciate the equipment it uses to generate income. OTOH, the average joe is taxed on the gross salary or wage he receives. He cannot deduct the cost of the food he puts on the table to feed his family. He cannot depreciate the vehicle he drives, for work or leisure. The answer IMO is revenue. Revenue cannot be hidden in tax havens, or have deductions against it. It does not have to be a big tax. A bean counter in Australia calculated a 1% tax on personal income plus company revenue would balance the federal budget. Jean Baptiste-Colbert: "The art of taxation consists in so plucking the goose as to obtain the largest amount of feathers with the least possible amount of hissing."

IMO the amount of sugar you would get in a sauce used in cooking would be minimal. I believe if I don't measure it, I can't control it. I have regular blood tests, so far so good.

I can accept the British are more urbane than Australians, we are more inclined to call a spade a spade. OTOH, Britain's football yobbos put all other nations in the shade. I can't recall any Australian fans getting banned from a sporting event, anywhere. https://www.brusselstimes.com/982397/british-authorities-bar-1600-violent-football-fans-from-travelling-to-germany

The ignorance is related to the mullahs in both countries, who for religious reasons reject any Western technologies as contaminating. Although they do seem to be comfortable accepting Stinger missiles. -

Funny thing, I am 81 and would not be here without medical science on my side. Don't worry, RFK will fix it for you. I'll just put you down as one of the hysterical ratbags who infest social media. Have a nice life, and watch out for Bill Gates's nanochips. -

Compare the incidence of dental caries in Hawaii, where fluoridation was stopped in 1966, with that of mainland USA. The only places that still need iron lungs for polio patients are Pakistan and Afghanistan, due to vaccine hesitancy caused by ignorance. Polio is still endemic there. QED. -

The science is settled that smoking causes lung cancer. The science is settled that anthropomorphic emissions of carbon dioxide are causing global warming. The science is settled that asbestos causes mesothelioma. The science is settled that fluoridation of water reduces dental caries. The science is settled that vaccinations prevent deaths and serious disability. Need I go on? -
I tell the person cooking the food for me in a food court to leave out the sugar. Sugar is used to balance the chili that is added to many Thai dishes. If the chili is reduced or eliminated, sugar is unnecessary.

The Profitable Global Climate Change Hoax/Con/Lie
Lacessit replied to Red Phoenix's topic in Off the beaten track
Insurance companies don't make any money out of declining to insure a property. They refuse to offer insurance, because the risk is deemed to be unacceptable. -
The Profitable Global Climate Change Hoax/Con/Lie
Lacessit replied to Red Phoenix's topic in Off the beaten track
Are the emergency generators for the condo located up there with you, or on the ground floor? I can't say when Bangkok will be regularly flooded, only that the data is showing an increase in probability. Most informed scientists worry about tipping points, such as albedo and clathrates. If they are triggered, probabilities become certainties. Over the last 20 years, the Greenland ice sheet on average has lost 270 billion metric tons of ice per year, causing a sea level rise of 15 mm. If the whole ice sheet melts, it will be more like 15 metres. Bangkok is 1 metre above sea level. IMO Chiang Rai is well situated to minimize the worst effects of climate change, apart from the smoke season, and earthquakes. Coolest part of Thailand, not subject to high winds. -

Sticking one's head in the sand is one option. As you are located in Bangkok, you are first in line for any general sea level rise.
