I have no intention of returning to Australia at present, I think I am safer here in Thailand by observing basic precautions. IMO I won't have same uncertainty of food and basic necessity supply.
ScoMo put Jesus at the wheel. Churches open. Schools open. Social distancing in creches? Utter stupidity. Now it's too little, too late.

Grow a pair, and educate your wife. Tell her the ATM will only be open every third day.

Sorry not here to nor do I have the time to do your homework. Go to the Government sites like Centrelink or press statements. Yes of course you have to be in Australia to get it, and NO , your statement again about late April is again wrong, its starts the day you register and yes you have to have lost your job or for foreigners not have means of support and can not leave . As there are no flights thats a give me.
You will qualify now, but the payment won't come through into the account of a recipient until late April. That's why people are asking what do I live on meantime.

Unless you are fluent in Thai, you would probably be more of a hindrance than a help. Nice thought, but you are probably better off staying put.
Thais get a pension when they hit 60. 500 baht/month, whoop-de-do. AFAIK there are no unemployment benefits, unless you are a general.

Go to Riverside Condo, rentals 1 month up 10K to 15K a month.
Shorter term, Leaf Serviced Apartment, 500 baht/night. The condo has plenty of places to buy food nearby, doubt they would all be shut down.

I went for a 30 day extension this morning, arrived at immigration at about 10:30am I was out before 11:00am
About 15 people for various things in the immigration office.
It would be helpful if you nominated which IO you went to, as your post is fairly useless without that information.

Melatonin as a sleep aid? It didn't work for me, and from memory was 600 baht. I tried Codiphen, drowsy antihistamine, 50 baht for 10 tablets at Peera Pharmacy, Thapae Gate, Chiang Mai. Worked like a charm, take it once or twice a week when I feel like a good night's sleep.
I may be jumping to conclusions. However, if it's sleep you want, I'd recommend trying Codiphen first.

I don't really understand why people still go physically to immigration with all the pandemic going on for their 90 day report.
It has been mentioned many times that it can be done online within a 14 to 7 days window before the 90 days expiry date.
Not everyone wants to have Internet Explorer as another virus trap on their computer.

So they don't want people casually rubbing shoulders when shopping. But it's perfectly fine to cram masses of foreigners into an overcrowded Immigration Office? If there's any logic or common sense there, it escapes me.
Do not think you are alone with the bewilderment.

Try Thai friendly - sure most girls would be happy not to do the happy ending if required
IMO the OP would find the girl would prefer the extra she could get over 300 baht for a legit massage, and would be pushy accordingly.

Some establishments have phone numbers, you could try if your Thai is fluent. I used to have home visits.
It helps to have a Thai GF or wife, as this reassures the legit ones.
At this time, the only massage I am getting is from my GF. Too much virus risk with a stranger.

i think it will only happen when an IO gets Corona, they don't want to miss out on bungs
Given how infectious COVID-19 is, I don't think we will be kept waiting for long.

I've stocked up on zinc, multivitamins and paracetamol, taking the two former as I write, the latter if fever develops.
IMO taking any other medication without medical oversight would be playing Russian Roulette.

It should be obvious to all and sundry people doing 90 day reports, visa extensions, residence certificates blah blah blah at Immigration offices all over Thailand are an ideal breeding and transmission facility for themselves and the IO's they are dealing with. It's like a big petri dish, with a multi-racial mix of nutrients.
Why can't the Thai authorities declare a 3 month moratorium on all internal offices? It's not as if foreigners are going to be climbing into tour buses, everyone with any sense is staying put.

Eat humble pie and talk to Xi and asked for help to assist on medical aids. Lastly don’t take advise from Steven Miller on economics.
He can't. America is a democracy, China is a totalitarian regime. If there is any nation more obsessed with personal freedom than the USA, I have yet to hear of it.
While I have no liking for Trump, IMO all leaders are between a rock and a hard place, because their expert advisers are at sixes and sevens about the best course of action which will balance population health with population employment.
Almost overnight, Australia has added 1 million people to its unemployment register. That scenario will repeat in many countries.

Ha ha ha. All these twits who complain about the risk to their health from being in an immigration queue would be happy to cram into the "Red Lion Bar" as soon as it opens. And I see that these same people cannot even maintain a safe distance between each other. Fine the lot of them for irresponsible queuing while you are fining them for overstaying.
You have a point. There are farangs at my condo that start drinking and smoking together at 11 am, as soon as they can get their hands on a beer.
Not my scene and each to their own; however, I can't help thinking they put themselves at risk through stupidity.

If they don't wake up and realize the current visa system is unworkable under current unprecedented conditions, the Thai government will make this country a tourist pariah for years to come. Word gets around.

Enjoy the low prices while you can!
It's very probable American shale oil producers will be first in line...

You really think they care about the village people ?
Of course they do. They want them to go home, so there won't be food riots in Bangkok. Then they would have to put down insurrections. They have respect for human life.

Pointless to overstock eggs, can't keep them that long in the first place. If people had brains they went after canned tuna and foods,
almost nobody does, thus I have more than enough by now. Just adding some to our stock day by day now.Depends on whether one has a refrigerator. Eggs will keep for at least a month at 4 degrees C.

With all due respect, but that appears to be the sweets and biscuits aisle - not exactly the first aisle to be hit by panic buyers. The dried/instant noodle and bottled water aisles at my local Big C did not look anything like that yesterday evening. Maybe I just got there before staff could restock, but the shelves were pretty empty.
The noodle aisle was the same, couldn't say about the bottled water because I don't buy it.

I agree if you have existing conditions it can be difficult but if not its easily obtainable for very little money but the Medical Cert stating no CoviD-19 and no symptoms for past 14 days in impossible to obtain here in UK. Here's a link to the Thai DODC https://ddc.moph.go.th/viralpneumonia/eng/ind_outbreak.php
One other point is they state self isolating for 14 days at your place of residence but what if its just a 7 day trip ? would you be allowed to leave Thailand to get back to UK ??
If anyone does know how to get one of these certs I'd be grateful, as have a trip booked for end of April but no looking good.
Stay safe everyone
You should cancel your trip unless absolutely essential. Governments are in a state of flux, they are moving the goalposts almost daily. IMO it will take 4 - 6 months for some semblance of order to be restored, and that is probably optimistic.
