Electric Vehicles in Thailand
Any recent hijackings? 🤣 I reckon its still early days, lots of design changes to come. Those who have bought EV cars are taking a risk. Resales will be well down, who will buy these used EV vehicles? I struggle to understand the type of person who buys an EV, are they 'want to be's', 'showoffs' etc? What's really weird is those who buy an EV and live in a condo or apartment without powered charging, my time is too precious to wait for an available public charger. I've got a hybrid, that's as far as I go until I know how the used EV car market will adjust, we don't hang on to our vehicles forever.

If you have PR you can have your name in a Blue house book. I don't have PR.

I bought my first motorbike early 2000's, Yamaha Mio from Mityon soi Buakhao the same salesman still works there, I've bought a few bikes from him. I probably wouldn't have bought any if I was unable to get a CofR.

Did you take it to an authorized Isuzu dealer? Local mechanics may not know.

State of recently build condos in Pattaya, example The Base
If they are sold out wouldn't that make the 'available units' now 'unavailable units'?

I renewed my 5 year driving licences (car and bike) at Chonburi (Banglamung) DLT November and used my house blue book to get a CofR.

I'm on a retirement visa now. New car and bike sales would have taken a big hit. The guys I work with come to Thailand on tourist visas and would regularly buy new vehicles

I'm probably very different to most people here. I've been working offshore on a drilling rig, I made Thailand my home in my 30's, I had to adapt, I only needed a tourist visa as my rotation is 28 days on and off, you soon get to know your way around when you're thrown in the deep end. 2015 I worked offshore, Songkla. Prior to that, 18 years ago I had never worked in Thailand, my bank (Kasikorn) issue me a Platinum credit card, I now have a Wisdom card also. So many changes in Thailand over the years, sadly for the worse.

Not likely. Why would you say that, are you 100% sure. I was getting residency certificates for 15 years on a tourist visa.

Nothing to do with my mind, it's what I use. I bought my second house in Pattaya 22 years ago, I moved into this house 19 years ago and have been using the blue house book since. Before that I was using my first house blue book.

You make it sound like foreigners have blue books coming out of their you know what. A blue house book is not a common item for Thais, most of the Thai people working in Pattaya won't have one.

Why would you do something so stupid? We are all on their database, they know everything about you.

What are you people talking about 'any blue book'. You got to be living there. TM30, does that ring any bells, hello people, it's not that difficult. OMG, we are going around in circles.

Yes, I noticed by your replies that you have been a little confused but try not to over think it. It is accepted, they just require a physical address, the address is printed in your blue book.

The IO is only interested in proof of address. Your house blue book (without your name) can be used for your CofR.

Where did I say 'any blue book'. It was the house blue book, the house that I bought and I live. I've got many house and condo blue books, for my CofR I use the blue book where I live. What's your problem?

I never said my name was in the blue book. BTW, if you have PR a foreigner can have their name in house blue book
