    Why the hostile comment? I can see that I found one of the types I described above. CallumWK, I work on offshore drilling rig, the rig travels to different countries around the world. Phuket airport does not get me to some countries without stop overs.

    I live south Pattaya, Years ago I'd go out drinking every afternoon with mates. Back then no checkpoints, today it's to risky. I've got mates that live 20km away (darkside), they'd never drink drive anymore. I'd say it won't be long before your neighbour gets done for DUI.

    It's been my home since the turn of the century. The place has changed, over the decades these types have been arriving in droves.

    I agree... it's because most of the expats here in Pattaya are retirees on a budget, Phuket is more expensive. It's probably why I see so many miserable elderly foreigners here in Pattaya, being on their pensions they don't have the funds to enjoy their retired life. I choose Pattaya for the international airport location, I travel internationally every month.

    Do you have the link? The 30 day unlimited I see are 149 baht and one time only, not sure if you can renew every month.

    A few years after I arrived, I was sat in the accounts department Pattaya Bangkok Hospital paying for the C section delivery for my first child in Thailand.
