Hopefully people will learn from this tragedy. I have no idea how Drivers are taught to merge on left turns but it needs to change. Dangerous merging happens everywhere in Thailand. Although I don’t know the history but think Chinese taught them to drive. Driving in China is much the same. God bless the boy and his family.

When I ask my wife where she is going she says friends. never will say where. I always answer where and who if asked.
Do you see this as a norm? We’ve been married 1 year

Ask the Uncle if you can talk to fiancé to get an idea how the situation looks. Ask about education ie have they passed the eight grade and finished high school. A lot of people here in Northeast drop out of school in eighth grade which makes for bad decisions sometimes. Unfortunately there are people looking for gain but not all are this way.

Suggestions? I’ve got my NO 90 days check in on March 28 in Udon. After that the next check in will be for renewal of NO. I’ve been told before renewal I need to get new Passport mine expires in Dec.
should I do the check in early and apply for new passport on March 7th
or wait until after and endure the hassle and expense of going going to BKK to renew passport after. US Citizen

Every time I’ve used my US debit card I have to sign. Unlike the US you don’t have to sign. I was in Singapore recently and used the card at 7/11 they used the chip reader gave me the receipt all done very quickly.

A “Tom” (she thinks she’s a he) went to Korea on tourist visa to work.
Got there and they gave her Man work to do. She said I’m not a man. They said you look like man work like man. She came back to Thailand.

Opened an account at Bangkok Bank a little bit of yapping at first a di questioned them the. They said OK and opened an account.
Not sure sure what country your from but for Retirement Visa I was able to use Thailand bank or get an affidavit from US Embassy for the retirement money required. US Embassy you fill in the paper and then have to swear it’s true.

Or should I just say lost to skip having to go to police station? Second time it’s happened. Once 2 years ago they ripped the bracket off. This time they were kind enough to unbolt the two bolts. Guess it’s superglue time.

My paper registration was stolen (bolted in case on bike). Do I go to moto registration or do I have to go to police first?

I live in a village near Kumphawapi. Seems a lot of Thai especially from villages drop out of school in 8th grade @ 13-14 years old. Unfortunately they won’t get the proper training to make a better life. Why doesn’t government do something to improve situation.
Underage Drinking. I’ve been to many of the concerts in the village and neighboring villages. A number of underaged children
drinking beer and whisky. Some look to be as young as 10. The lack of education and drinking at young age won’t help their futures. Anything being done to address this issue?
Underaged children on motorcycles. Another problem area.

A friend of mine is married to Chinese. She has US passport and China Passport ID. Usese Chines docs when going into China. US to go into US. No problems. Should be same for Thai

ecently they’ve cracked down on land border crossing. Not sure what the limit is but UK friend went twice and the third time they told him 4 days to leave the country. He may have come in on a Tourit Visa.
Air boarder crossing aren’t affected.

All looks like good information. I’m on Retirement Visa and have to report every 90 day for Residence check. I’ve not tried 90 day check in on line yet want to make sure it’s easy. I go to Udon Thani Immigration
a d the check in process has taken from 3 to 20minutes depending on the line.
Note I was advised if you go on a trip out of Thailand and on Retirement Visa to get re-entry permit before you leave or all the work you’ve done will be voided.
The earnings affidavit for US citizens at Bangkok Embassy is easy. Fill out the document with you earnings per year. Swear on it sign it and your on the way. You must m,e an appointment and if more than one person need to go both need appointments.

On retirement Visa and taking trip to Singapore. I’m advised need a re entry permit so no issues
upon return. Flying Thai Smile from Udon Thani to BKK for transfer to Thai Air on to Singapore.
When should I get the re entry permit? And where?
Last time I took this flight when you land in BKK they walk you to the area for Intl flight.

Planning trip to Singapore for 4 days. On retirement visa do I need to go to immigration office before I leave and again upon return? Also heard that you should get multiple entry or could be issues.
