  1. No reason not to renegotiate the treaty and draw up new maps.
  2. Not forgetting the burning season which is now most of the year, flooding periods that have reminded folk they bought a property in a known flood plain, closed beaches to aid natural recovery, vibrant meaning now open from 5pm to 4am other than that nothing has changed recently. the joy of meeting airline passengers not savvy enough to be on a plane in the first place, oh and the earthquakes in other countries that rock high rise buildings in the nations capital. However I am still not leaving except I will not be flying DMK to CNX again for while - just experience my first ever last minute go around due to high tail winds - planes elsewhere tend to take off & land into the wind seems not so in Thailand.
  3. Exactly get back to your desks, put your phones away, eat at meal times and take public transport to & from work or your end up being replaced by a General.
  4. And what exactly are all these "new tourists" meant to be doing when they arrive in Thailand?
  5. There is the new Expresso tinned Chang & the new Cold Brew Chang available now better than Leo. The beer shirts are naff though however some stunners can wear anything IMHO.
  6. I personally think "clash" is an under statement if 130,000 people were advised to evacuate. BTW neither a F16 or a Gripen can take out a mortar carrying drone.
  7. If I had been better informed by local Thai gf & family I would of built a house with a very small south facing elevation and placed my bedroom & study on the northern end of the property. They seemed to value their Khmer roots - not sure about that now, I guess the locals on both sides of the border no not welcome this conflict. Lucky we sold the cows 2 weeks ago. BTW nearest shell or missile landed 3 km from the house (I am told). The remaining close family that did not do a runner at the start are now 130km north of the border.
  8. nice mapping program - I was looking for something like this.
  9. A counter attack which appears to not have been effective if it took place at all. With Thailand's military might this conflict should already be over with all rocket launches destroyed.
  10. Don't forget the trunk full of LPG gas tank. With meter off not to mention paying for a trip off meter quoted as including all tolls only to be taken on the regular road route directly below the Toll Road.
  11. Wittawat Raweiyotai MD
  12. Second that. Often wonder why they do not use more "cats eyes" on all the roads.
  13. Motor sports are not limited to just F1. I see no reason for Thailand not having more race tracks and rally courses. Soon Bangkok will be underwater so why invest there at all ?
  14. Note Buriram Airport already has a major new terminal building probably designed with international flights in mind and associated runway expansion nearing completion. Chang International Circuit with a Moto GP Race track layout is about 38Km from the airport. A major investment currently operating with only 2 return flights a day to DMK airport in Bangkok - "Amazing Thailand". I wonder if the PM is fully aware.
  15. Elsewhere the picture is very different. It is not about GDP it is about the 1,000s of expats living locally. There can be no income tax based on residentcy without representation & benefits. In the rural areas the 65K-150K a month typically spent locally will be lost if expats leave - it will hurt the locals personally big time.
  16. Nothing.................. My local Thai community will loose the Thai Baht I am taxed directly. They will get nothing of my taxes invested locally. It will be a net loss locally. In fact it could hasten a total loss locally if I exit Thailand.
  17. "No tax without representation". Anyone up for a Thai Tea party?
  18. Okay so she tickets the box for being well educated - not exactly Ivy League though. Maybe she will become an American Presidential candidate down the road if things do not work out here in Thailand - the only qualification needed is to have been born in the USA which she was it seems. I wonder which airline her husband flies for.
  19. Re; "Thirayuth Suwankaesoorn" ............................cannot find a photo online of this person. I guess he is just a very private person.
