Just my opinion, but given the fact that most Thais pair-up at high school or uni, plus the fact that Thai women generally like to stick to Thai men, the ones that end up with foreign guys aren't going to be ones that would want to go with Thai men in the first place.  Even if they aren't prostitutes/divorced/single mothers, they're still the type to not want a Thai guy, due to not likening the way women are treated in relationships with Thai men, or some similar reason.

I just can't imagine, currently, educated and well off Thai men, who would be looking to pair-up with educated Thai women with good economic prospects, being in any position to be adopting a "bloody foreigners, coming over here, taking our women" kind of viewpoint.

Absolute rubbish. Learn to speak Thai like a Thai, and you will see new doors open. Most of the time its just a language barrier.

Hopefully as this rolls out this will encourage people to get vaccinated.

It may not be perfect.  This nudge is needed for people who for some reason or conspiracy theory are not inclined to be vaccinated.

Now all Thailand needs is quality vaccines.  Sinovac is a major stumbling block as many Thais don't trusted it.

    For good reason.

Yea, look at Israel, the most va*xed country in the world, currently on their 3rd and 4th shot

I got my 330e last August.  So far have just driven to work and around BKK, so my daily usage is about 50km.  I had the wall charger BMW provided installed at my condo and use that every night.  I usually leave it plugged in overnight, was not aware of the less than 100% charge issue, but I'll check with the dealer.  I have just over 7,000 km on the car and tanked up for just the third time yesterday.  Electricity cost per month around 1,000-1,200 Baht per month.  I finally got Carplay set up this weekend and it works fine.  There had been an issue with the emergency call not working, but that was due to a software update which was just finished and I understand it affected many cars.  The acceleration and performance are excellent, I've had the 320i previously and this 330e is about the best car I've ever driven.

Use precondition and setup charge schedule, so your battery is full just before departure. That way battery degradation is minimal.

Is the battery pack still located in the spare tyre compartment of the trunk in ur BMW?

Then you have the more expensive run-flat-tyres, that can't be replaced at any corner shop.

You can reply with any tires you want. I always go for normal tires, and keep a emergency repair kit in my car.
Batteries are underneath rear seats and trunk. Makes the trunk a bit smaller, but enough for me. Besides can fold the rear seats.

A lot of people can't afford being locked up for 2+ weeks, they have family to care for, pets, income that depends on them being at home at least.

The current system actually encourages people to not report anything and try to hide it as much as they can. I'm completely against keeping these asymptomatic people locked up, they should be just ordered to stay home with a heavy fine if caught outside.

Why anyone would lock up people who aren't sick in the first place is totally crazy. Asymptomatic spread is a myth!

So why are people so reluctant to disclose information regarding

if they have been at risk of catching the virus? Afraid of being locked up in a hospital for an uncertain period of time? Perhaps they should consider letting asymptomatic cases or patients with mild symptom isolate at home, and leave room for those who are more seriously ill.

Especially those 90% with no symptoms...

Yet your own Thai Citizens keep sneaking in because they do not like your quarantine and other measures Sir. How many of those from India will eventually filter through and bring that variant  in with them.  You should be more worried about getting vaccinations moving.

Again sir how many of your own people have you nabbed?, silence on that subject except for an article yesterday about 5 that had been apprehended and tested positive for Covid.

Since 99,995 of us are totally fine even if we get the virus, they should worry more about speeding and drunk driving - that actually kills people.

Android Auto didn't used to be available in Thailand (easily) and it wasn't very stable. I use Apple Car Play and much prefer Google maps to the installed system.

I use Android Auto every day. It works flawlessly. Even has the navigation, arrows and such on the head-up display.

I believe that BMW quote for your car up to 60kms electric range. If you get anywhere near that you have done well ...guess driving relatively slowly and with the air con off. You battery is 12kWh. We have a PHEV with a 6.2kWh battery. One morning, driving slowly and with the air con off I managed 30kms. The normal we get is 18-20 in quite traffic.

In the recent cold spell, 20decC or so would have helped in getting the best charge into the battery, I think...

Air con is always on. My favorite function is to keep it running while doing short errands, or precondition when I know I am gonna head out. I get around 20kwh/100km highway speed and less than that in city speed, so no problem getting 50km+ on a charge.

It's in the trunk and under the back seats. Definitely less trunk space, but doesn't bother me at all.

I always change from run flats to normal tires after a year or so. Smoother ride

Diesels pump out more NO2 which is an issue.

I do like the idea of electric vehicles, however, their ‘environmentally friendliness’ is conveniently glossed over.

IF the goal is just to make the air cleaner in area’s of high vehicle density EV’s are a good solution, however, the power needs to come from somewhere and meeting that energy demand is difficult - reenables simply aren’t efficient enough, fossil fuels and nuclear are the only sources of energy available to meet high energy demands.

The Car batteries and not exactly environmentally friendly, solar sells work in the countryside, but there’s not sufficient space in the cities. Nuclear Energy is an option as a ‘cleaner’ power source, but its unpopular.

Had Chernobyl not happened the world would now be a different place from an energy perspective.

I believe Hydrogen power is the way forward for cars but the governments have backed EV’s in lieu of the difficulty of storing hydrogen safety in moving vehicles due to its high energy per mass potential.

Batteries are produced more environmentally friendly now than a few years ago, and Tesla and others are further improving this.
