  1. Wow you are really dumb..... How can you not see this scheme as sinister? 10,000 baht is nearly one month salary for the average thai person.........How many millions will sign up to digital currency. Its part of the worldwide agenda for every country to go cashless, without this sort of carrot , its going to be impossible for thai government to implement. They need like 90% of the population to sign up to digital currency
  2. Say NO to digital currmecy and a cashless society
  3. Has anyone got this visa before, I was quoted by a language school in Phuket 65,000 baht and can stay for 15 months. 1st 3 months, then get extension foe remaining 12 months Apperently can stay in Phuket but I will probably live in chiang mai and study on it (as you should do and is required) Has anyone got this visa before? Any problems, Was it worth it etc?
  4. Wow moaning about business cabin upgrade .........because a bit more higher price 555, that extra 30k baht to upgrade for a 6-8 hour flight, is equivalent to an average thai person salary for 2 months. Btw economy package on both emirates and qatar is a great product Thinking you need business cabin is so stupid unless you really really need to sleep for something for example or just want to try it for the novelty. Lets see .....What do you really get -A bit better food -A bit better TV screen 30k extra+ All for a 6-8 hour flight. Can you really say its worth 100 pounds an hour to have some better food.
  5. Yes immigration probably think you are still working now......were you a teacher before with a work permit? I would wait at least a MONTH in another country, even better if you go back to your original country. Spend a month in Bali. You will have no trouble getting in. This will or should show that you don't currently still have a job in Thailand. Then catch a flight bali > penang and enter Thailand by road.
  6. Not necessarily, case by case basis, more chance of being granted if get a new passport also
  7. OP has stated he has stayed in Thailand long term (Longer than 5 months that he stated during the last few years) I'm guessing before his 5 month stay he had a few weeks break and before that had stayed in thailand for a few years all through COVID
  8. Okay so you've stayed here longer than 5 months in the last few years, maybe you've been here for most of those years Thats why you were refused entry Get an Ed-Visa for an Elite visa
  9. To be honest its harsh because Penang should have refused the visa in the first place No reason to refuse entry, Surely there has to be more to this story? Have you got previous long overstays in your passport? Have you lived in Thailand before these 5 months for a long extended period?
  10. Did they fly you back then to penang? what happened? did they pay for your flight back? Arrested? I've never ever heard this happening before, especially if you can show 20,000 baht cash they should let you in... You should have asked for the senior immigration officer, explained your situation....Wow I cannot believe they turned you down when you already were granted a TR visa from Penang..What the heck
  11. Once you obtain a Tourist Visa sticker in your passport.....i thought Immigration had to let you in. I've never heard this happening before I know Immigration can refuse entry for a visa exempt This seems very harsh.....I'm very suprised ......maybe Phuket is being overrun currently by Chinese tourists and they are trying to discourage as many people visiting as possible
  12. Think about the fact.....You only have a very small chance of getting the deposit back even if you complete the lease/contract If you only do a few months of a contract..........haha good luck i doubt less than 10% of landlords would give your deposit back. Afterall that's what it is there for.........to stop a person moving in for just a month or two and then the landlord has to do all the admin etc to find another new tenant NEVER pay 2 months deposit up front........only 1 month maximum.........NEVER expect to get any deposit back....if you do - you are lucky
  13. Let's be honest in some ways Thailand is still a very efficient country. It was probably #1 country in handling the pandemic response (World class quarantine centers at cheap prices) and then Phuket was one of the first places in SE to open up with Vaccination (Months before Australia or New Zealand) Did we see Thailand police and military forcing people who were out on the streets during lockdown back in (Unlike in democracy like Australia) Thailand has one of the best healthcare systems in the world Thai's may be poor but being rich doesn't necessary = Happiness. Compare the mood and temprement of 100 Thais to 100 UK citizens .........and think about how many of the 100 UK will moan they hate their life , whilst 100 thai enjoy sense of community, eating out each day etc ---- If Thailand life is so bad under the Junta, why have so many farangs moved from their western governments lol. You have alot more freedom, cheaper life here than back home
  14. Fixed that post for your now lol. Don't want to be harsh ........but in reality yeah If shes not answering her phone and her location is iffy .......she probably cheating. Gambling is less likely......can't she play those games on her phone or something? I would seriously prepare for losing that house
  15. Its too close to BKK to be a successful airport........It saves what (30 minutes?) to get to Pattaya. Makes no differences for international travel and hardly any difference for domestic unless commuting everyday BKK has all the advantages of connections etc to get to other places , more flights etc Also Pattaya just reminds you of low class, dirty old farang men. So do families really want to take themselves and children on a flight and be surrounded by a bunch of sex tourists?............ This is why It will probably never become successful internationally I doubt it will ever become a successful airport
  16. Why is it better to enter by land? is it almost impossible to be denied entry at a land border?
  17. Doesn't sound legit , you're only allowed 2 x visa exempt per calender year
  18. What the problem exactly, In this U.S.A if you caught drink driving your green card/visa will be revoked.....will likely go to prison for a few months, never can return to U.S.A etc In thailand, if you're caught, you pay 20k baht on the spot fine, and you get off with no record of the event -- Yes it's illegal what thai police do but its much better than the alternative - being locked up in a thai jail for a few months and blacklisted from the country
  19. You book fast track and you won't be quizzed by immigration for your language skills - Anyway you should learn as much as you can anyway
  20. No I said I have a friend at work - whose brother stays here continuously by doing online teaching and using TR visas I have passive income to support myself from selling digital products on an american website(I don't need a work permit for this)
  21. if you are worried about this - book fast track lane beforehand
  22. Spend a few days abroad after a 60+30 TR visa and apply for a new one whilst abroad
  23. Are you sure though, I'm sure i've heard online teachers are still staying here continuously through TR visas even after COVID......but wanted to hear from peoples experiences here
