  1. So how many people here have managed to stayed year round or nearly year round with back to back Tourist Visa's? I'm talking staying 1-2 years already - with maybe 1 week holiday inbetween - going to penang/kuala lumpur/vietanne etc in between visa's Hard to gauge so close after COVID but how about just before COVID also
  2. Apparently I can no longer apply for an Ed-Visa as my passport now has evidence of a Non-B/Work permit and extension of stay. The only Ed-Visa I may be able to apply for is the Chiang Mai University (65k visa) which allows you to stay 15 months I am worried If I leave my job and the country soon and try to return within a week by applying for a Tourist Visa it will be rejected.....(I have been staying now in thailand for 1 year already on TR Visa > Ed Visa > Non B/Workpermit). In this case would I be able to enter just on a visa exempt I cannot afford an Elite Visa (600k).......65k for the Chiang Mai visa is also stretching it. What other options do I have? I want to stay continuously as I have a girlfriend here, and I also have an online business which supports me finacially
  3. What benefits are available for the Thai citizen? I am guessing they get a UK passport which allowed them to more countries visa free? but what else?
  4. Visa history -E-Tourist Visa (july 2022) -Converted to Ed-Visa (Aug- January 6 months) -Ed-Visa Converted to Non-B work permit working as a teacher (Feb- Current) -Thinking about leaving current job soon ....... How likely is it that I would be refused a TR Visa in Bali/Kuala Lumpur/Vietanne? ......How could I return to thailand as soon as possible Apparently I cannot apply for another Ed-visa now I have had a work permit.........I can only apply for the Chiang mai university visa valid for 15 months If TR visa is denied, can I just come back on a Visa Exempt? P.S I look forward to the posts criticizing my terrible english skills when writing as fast as possible for a forum post
  5. How old are you by the way............ and what cancer are you suffering from? I would suggest macro dosing on mushrooms or even try DMT, it might help with the fear you dying
  6. Ok thanks I emailed then - If I enter on 30 day visa exempt will I need to show immigration a flight out of thailand within 30 days? Or can the flight out be 60 days (I tell immigration I will extend) Thanks
  7. Hope visa is approved by tomorrow but flying at 2.30 pm, arrive in phuket around 24 hours later Can I just show immigration offical online confirmation to get TR stamp, or does something have to be printed out in advance Thanks
  8. So thailand want to have lots of tourism again , - yet makes the visa process a lot harder and stricter than before the pandemic, what are they thinking??
  9. Thai embassy asking for proof of residency from UK, but Ive only been back here for two weeks and have no utility bills or council tax etc that can prove my residency ? Any ideas What happens If I go to bali for a tourist visa after 2 months in thailand (visa exempt + extension) , do these stupid requirements are still required?
  10. 1) not true - comparable prices to other places in thailand including hotel prices, food in restaurants maybe 10-20% high. Massages, Food in supermarkets, Motorbike Rent, Condo Monthly Rent Prices nearly all the same 2) It's your choice , hire from a reputable hire place with good reviews 3) Yeah taxi fares are higher but you either 1) buy or rent a scooter, 2) take a songthaew to places 3) buy a bike 4) Take the airport bus 4) Stop complaining, Phuket is great place with an international airport, great beaches, good waves for surfing etc etc
  11. Same here 1300 pounds, its actually risen to 1700 now, ridicolousss
  12. To be honest the demand was still there, Thailand was one of the few SE Asian countries with entry and (Phuket sandbox). Dec was the start of high season , so crazy of BA to scrap flights then But even then, why scrap flights for such a long period of time? All other major airlines like Qatar, Emirates, Thai Airways never took this step.....why not be flexible and just say - we will restart flights when demands picks up ...........In a business sense....it still makes no logical sense atoll
  13. Why the hell did BA Cancel all flights to Thailand until October, when surely the demand is there? makes no business sense whatsoever Anyway In my opinion 50 -100 years airtravel may be made completely redundant for at least Europe - Asia.......Once a real hyperloop track gets built within the next 10 years, development will snowball and there will probably be continuous/many hyperloops tracks connecting Europe - Asia Far Greener, More Comfortable, More Profitable for companies in the long run (No need for a driver or cabin crew etc)
  14. I thought thai airways cancelled these are few months and re routed them to bangkok Skyscanner showing direct flights from LHR - HKT nearly everyday (see attached)
  15. Exactly I just booked One way LGW - HKT PHuket for 1300 pounds on 21st of July. There was the option of getting a flight on 9th of august with Scoot + Thai Smile for 600 pounds roughly on 9th of august. 2 weeks accommodation in the UK would be minimum 300-600 pounds, and Im already renting a condo in Phuket. Better just to get the flight sooner and get out of the UK
  16. I really doubt they will extend again once Thailand pass/insurance is removed on july 1st. Covid extensions are actually really unfair on people who paid 600k baht for a 5 year Elite Visa just before COVID started
  17. As anyone entered thailand recently with say an - E-visa Tourist Visa with 1 blank page of passport left.........or a VoA with just 1 passport page left I think it states you need 2 pages for TV but ................VoA? One stamp + Extension would only take up one page
