  1. Why is it better to enter by land? is it almost impossible to be denied entry at a land border?
  2. Doesn't sound legit , you're only allowed 2 x visa exempt per calender year
  3. What the problem exactly, In this U.S.A if you caught drink driving your green card/visa will be revoked.....will likely go to prison for a few months, never can return to U.S.A etc In thailand, if you're caught, you pay 20k baht on the spot fine, and you get off with no record of the event -- Yes it's illegal what thai police do but its much better than the alternative - being locked up in a thai jail for a few months and blacklisted from the country
  4. You book fast track and you won't be quizzed by immigration for your language skills - Anyway you should learn as much as you can anyway
  5. No I said I have a friend at work - whose brother stays here continuously by doing online teaching and using TR visas I have passive income to support myself from selling digital products on an american website(I don't need a work permit for this)
  6. if you are worried about this - book fast track lane beforehand
  7. Spend a few days abroad after a 60+30 TR visa and apply for a new one whilst abroad
  8. Are you sure though, I'm sure i've heard online teachers are still staying here continuously through TR visas even after COVID......but wanted to hear from peoples experiences here
  9. So how many people here have managed to stayed year round or nearly year round with back to back Tourist Visa's? I'm talking staying 1-2 years already - with maybe 1 week holiday inbetween - going to penang/kuala lumpur/vietanne etc in between visa's Hard to gauge so close after COVID but how about just before COVID also
  10. Apparently I can no longer apply for an Ed-Visa as my passport now has evidence of a Non-B/Work permit and extension of stay. The only Ed-Visa I may be able to apply for is the Chiang Mai University (65k visa) which allows you to stay 15 months I am worried If I leave my job and the country soon and try to return within a week by applying for a Tourist Visa it will be rejected.....(I have been staying now in thailand for 1 year already on TR Visa > Ed Visa > Non B/Workpermit). In this case would I be able to enter just on a visa exempt I cannot afford an Elite Visa (600k).......65k for the Chiang Mai visa is also stretching it. What other options do I have? I want to stay continuously as I have a girlfriend here, and I also have an online business which supports me finacially
  11. What benefits are available for the Thai citizen? I am guessing they get a UK passport which allowed them to more countries visa free? but what else?
  12. Visa history -E-Tourist Visa (july 2022) -Converted to Ed-Visa (Aug- January 6 months) -Ed-Visa Converted to Non-B work permit working as a teacher (Feb- Current) -Thinking about leaving current job soon ....... How likely is it that I would be refused a TR Visa in Bali/Kuala Lumpur/Vietanne? ......How could I return to thailand as soon as possible Apparently I cannot apply for another Ed-visa now I have had a work permit.........I can only apply for the Chiang mai university visa valid for 15 months If TR visa is denied, can I just come back on a Visa Exempt? P.S I look forward to the posts criticizing my terrible english skills when writing as fast as possible for a forum post
