And subsequently carried on exactly as before. This happens all the time, with promises it will be fixed and of course it is never fixed. The biggest problem is the exorbitant rates that some of these people want to charge, especially if they think you don't know how much it should be, and I suspect that problem is going to stay with us for a very long time.
just how much were they "fined" ?????

Pattaya Immigration might be a contender! There is a ramp at the entrance but it is not practical being very steep. I doubt an electric chair could get up, or a disabled person using the strength of his/her arms, in fact it might take 4 people helping.
this ramp is a complete joke.....just how does a disabled person ACTUALLY manage to get into the Immigraion Department....!!

As I understand it, there is already a law which states that traffic must not remain in the outside lane 'longer than necessary' (i.e. when not overtaking). As we know, this law is never enforced, so what are the chances for this new one?
no chance whatsoever

wow they are quick in this country to do this ????!!!!

Unbelievable nonsense in my opinion.
Just as a matter for discussion. Is it illegal to ride a bike drunk in any other countries?
dont think it is in Uk but is illegal to ride a horse....so the solution here could be to ride a gee gee !!

The ordinary train is still listed in the official schedule (last updated in November):
http://procurement.railway.co.th/checktime/checktime.asp?lenguage=Eng
Several years ago I commuted from Hualampong out to Pattanagan on this train. Only 3rd class seats were available.
i did not ask about the ordinary week day train.....asked about the NEW train on weekends....!!

And the remaining 25.71% must have been on city streets - not clear on this!
The impounded vehicles should remain impounded until the suspension period is over or else they will be back on the road without a valid licence.
and re take the so called DRIVING TEST !!

Some months ago there was a train departing Saturday (and I think Sundays) from bkk to Sattahip, stopping off at Pattaya station, has it now been cancelled or is it still in operation??

I thought, a few days ago, that a big whigg in the Government stated that he would make it ZERO deaths over the holiday period.....a statment that can NOT possibly be upheld.....as we can see from these figures.
Then later some guy in the Government said they were going to increase the speed limits.
Left hand does not know what right hand is doing here !!
We all know that speed KILLS !!

I had health insurance with Thai company called Muang Thai. paid in Oct 2011.
Was in hospital Dec 2011 for 1 week (18,500 baht) Doctor said I needed CAT scan so had this at BKK Pattaya (21,500 baht) the INSURANCE company would NOT pay out.
I late Jan 2012 they did REPAY my PREMIUM of 38,000 baht.
Many insurance companies will NOT give Health Insurance if one smokes or has diabetes
