If RTP had got their act together, they would have already filled the vacancies! I find it inconceivable that "Retiring police officers to leave over 6000 posts vacant"! Surely they knew well in advance that there wold be 6,000 retirements!

I suspect you probably will have issues, but then again, nothing is certain. By sheer luck when I was planning this weekend away several months ago. I had decided to go to Macau instead of Hong Kong last weekend. Had no issues at all going to or returning from Macau.
what else would you expect you were NOT going to H K....macau NOT affected by the problems in H K....!!!

the "one way plan" was a huge PITA because of too rare U-turns on Jomtien 2nd road.

The previous 13 annual road safety conferences, all aimed at reducing the road toll, have clearly been abject failures.
But this one will be different.
Won't it?
of course it WILL !!!

It is just a normal maintenance procedure called "Blanket replacement" — all signs in an area or route, or of a given sign type are replaced at specified time intervals.
A sign technician should not leave a sign down or take an old sign away and leave nothing in its place.
The technician should always have a replacement sign or sufficient repair materials while working in the field to take down the old sign. But WHERE ARE YOU....this is thailand !!!

Exactly. There seems to be a lack of police will to ticket, clamp or tow vehicles that park or stop anywhere, anytime and for anything. The buses, scooter taxis, regular taxis and baht buses operate with impunity. Traffic wise, it is a town out of control
absolutely out of control......

But if you are a HiSo or a " do you know who I am " 0 point
And as wrote Colinneil, about 40% here don't have a license ( to kill ???? I'm in my James Bond period )
so....
I would like to see policemen and radars and breath control on secondary roads ( red and concrete roads which are so many in Thailand )..
I would like to see policemen controlling licenses and helmets between 7 am and 8 am when children come to school ...and verifiing if passengers and driver have security belts in minibuses ...
But that will never come ...
YOUR right it will never come/happen

If an early check in and passing through Immigration is possible, then the problem totally diappears. If just a few hours will not be a problem anyway. There will be no fine for that. There is actually not any fine for one day late.
or up to 5 days late....

One sees it from a distance and then takes the appropriate manouver to drive past.....!!

I have never SWERVED to avoid a parked vehicle, like many others on here WHO CAN DRIVE PROPERLY....
