For this movie, there were only nine reviews virtually all on the release date and with the same rating. I suggest that the 8.9/10 rating is possibly based on an opening screening with professionals/friends etc attending and is not a true representation of what rating the general public would give. A couple of interesting movies dropped recently... The one I watched last night was No Hard Feelings (2023) - IMDb 6.6/10.
