  1. Mmmm interesting. I better mail my big bag with a cash deposit of $20,000,000 US to ABA saves paying 10% to a legit bank in USA. 😁Does ABA guarantee that it will be safe?
  2. That's true the army elite scum may emerge again. due to Thaksin 's failed attempt to control Thai politics. When in the last election there was, in Thailand terms a good party who represented the people, who i do not need to mention, which is a lost chance to correct the past, till the senate controlled by the army senate ruined that one.
  3. Compared to Red Bull's wealth Thaksin looks like like a lower class employee as a butler.
  4. Not really mind blowing. look at how much US Coca Cola makes
  5. Here in Australia it does not matter whether it's a Prime Minister. State Premier or a public servant. Our ASIO has the authority, and legal right, to phone tap, and so they should. Taps at that higher level only get approval if they can justify it to a higher level judge. In the case of your Thai Prime Minister and her father that would be easy peasy here to get approval.
  6. Maybe your right as you have experienced the test in Thailand. So I apologise. The main reason I'm pissed off with the testers is believe it or not I have tried to get my Thai stepdaughter here in Australia her Red P plates but they keep failing her and as far as I am concerned she is sufficiently trained and road wise. I have been driving a car for 50 years and not once had an accident that was my fault in all those years so you think I would know. Maybe I should focus on corruption in my own country when it comes to a driver test.
  7. The heading of this subject highlights how out of touch the Thai Road Dept is and of course the politicions. The heading being " Thailand Tightens Rules for Foreign Drivers," How about they tighten rules on Thai drivers who contribute to, in my estimate, 99% of road deaths. Most foreign drivers do a thorough test before you get a basic licence i.e. Australian Red P Platers, Green P plate drivers then full licence. Which takes about 4 years till you get a full licence in Australia. I remember about 3-4 years ago I decided to get a full Thai licence and had an Aussie license since about 1975. What the testers gave me was two ropes and had to pull the left and right rope . Not one question about the difference between their road rules laws and Australian, I enquired as to why I have a left rope and right right. The answer was to ensue you can indicate left or right, AMAZING Thailand.
  8. They failed you because they wanted Tea money from a farlang like all corrupt government officials
  9. This antique general , who struggles to keep awake at political meetings, is the main cause of the bullsh*t the Thai people have to suffer from corrupt officials. Remember this guy. " General Prawit Wongsuwan". he belongs in prison and does not care one iota about his Thai citizens but only cares about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
  10. Solution. Building away from an already crowded city and using an existing a track there that is grade 1 certified they will save a sh*t load of money and thus afford to add a big brand new hospital.
  11. Great idea. Build it Buri ram they already have a good race track there and it will give me great entertainment. Buri Ram will boom. The football stadium there is world class also and thy now have a good airport.
  12. My wife is from Buri Ram (Isaan language) and of course I know Buri ram well. Whilst there in the capital city riding a bike and very often I pass the main school when school has finished , I see many young students depart the exit to a busy road and always there is a cop outside the exit acting like a traffic light. To allow many many kids, being single rider , double rider or in some cases three riders get access to that road. But what aggravates me is the majority of those children do not wear a helmet, let alone their age and number of passengers, yet the policeman does Nil ,Zero nothing to fine them or even tell them as a minimum do wear a helmet, not to carry so many passengers or ask how far are they going. Yet whilst there in the capital, especially in the mornings I ride through a main road to get to my Thai wife’s village and every time they pull me over for not wearing a helmet. Yet other Thai riders are ignored. In short I disagree with your response.
  13. Well written topic. It restored my faith in humans yet I admit what the author asks for will never happen in my life time. It will only occur in my mind and all good Thais as a dream only.
  14. Quite the opposite, Knowing if they target farangs ,who they assume has the money, they will be out in droves to get a larger cup of tea money for the fine of 1000 baht per person which generally ends up in the RTP's pocket minus the fee they pay higher up in the food chain.
  15. That has nil to do with uniforms as a topic I raised?
  16. It will only stop when extreme corruption stops. Which in my mind is never as the whole system for decades has been corrupt and thus maybe in decades they may solve this problem but I'm not holding my breath.
  17. Maybe because of the legalisation of Marijuana by him?
  18. As for the negative comments from the do gooders, being non smokers, here saying this is a dumb idea and blah blah. Well go have a walk in most cities of Thailand it's already full of smoke and exhaust fumes. Yet most, if not all of you live with that every day whilst in Thailand. Especially, those of you who live in Chiang Mai which is one of the most polluted cities in the world and you worry about a small group of smokers at an airport within a closed room so you cannot smell or breath the cigarette smoke. As for me it's a fantastic thing to get those rooms back, especially after a long flight. If smoking expedites my death so be it. It's my choice not yours.
  19. You took the words right out of my mouth. He must have a large wardrobe at home with all sorts of uniforms ready for his next posting.. When health minister in charge of solving the Covid pandemic he dressed like a doctor. now he dresses like a general.
  20. I've got no words to say on this topic as it repeats every year, after year and after year. The feedback is the same. Yet no action to resolve the problem occurs. A week after this topic all will be just a fading sad memory. The real solution lies with the government doing something. In short they should pull their finger out of their fat a,ss. A good start would be something like a road safety committee or a traffic safety commission. For example, there is the Joint Select Committee on Road Safety in Australia, which examines strategies to improve road safety and reduce accidents.
  21. It's just revenue raising and more so for the higher fat RTP above the RTP issuing the fines for tea money. They must need more money to pay of their Mercedes. Greed is good in Thailand they believe. Bugger the road deaths they think!
