  1. Now that's a very good example, by the Thai government and the Thai Goverment to define the word, "nepotism". I tell my students. 😛😅
  2. The RTP Superiors must think all the people, being Thai and Farlang, who read this repeat press verbal garbage statement, year after year, believe it will be done and enforced by the RTP. Well unless you have an IQ of 40, we all know it will not happen. I believe what the Police General Kraibhun Trawadsong, Deputy Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police, is saying, " with regards to increase in fines, that only applies to farlangs as we need more tea money for me and my hard working (oops slack working) RTP. It does not apply to Thais as they will not pay or cannot afford the steep fines, especially the school children.
  3. I think it's a ruse to entice Red Bull back to Thailand so they can arrest him and start the envelopes flowing again.
  4. As a human he makes me sick. More like a cockroach.
  5. It mainly only works In Thailand. In any, if not most farlang countries, you would end up in jail and whatever you own in assets would not allow you to buy your way out of your crime committed when convicted.
  6. Well forget about her plan to come back and bribe all so she can do what Thaksin, did. She better learn a new language, especially in whatever country she is living and happy with now. Great family hey, Broken up because of their GREED, There is Karma.
  7. She's in deep sh..t! Simple. Case solved as Peter Sellers once said. All these detailed comments are a waste of time!
  8. Thailand political voting system at it's best. Will it change "No".
  9. Does Thailand make wine? I googled this," Thailand produces wine, though it's a relatively young and small industry compared to established wine-producing regions. Often referred to as "New Latitude Wines," Thai wine production faces the challenge of its tropical climate." In short wine imports will only protect a SMALL industry thus my conclusion just an excuse to tax imports of wine, which I enjoy, and does not significantly affect the minute wine industry in Thailand. I do not know one Thai who are friends or my wifes family that drinks wine. They generally drink Thai whisky. Thus it's a tax on farang only.
  10. Only the duopoly companies complain with fake complaints so as to protect their massive profit industry and keep prices higher than what they should be. No ACCC (Australia) in Thailand!
  11. I know Asia is South of China. What has that got to do with anything? What is your point? Unless your inferring back to the past in the 60's and 70's when America was worried about the spread of communism? Well i can assure you Australia and definitely me and my children will not make that mistake again to protect any Asian country for the sake of America believing in this spread of communism b/<deleted>. We will not join the US in this paranoid communism belief again. Asia will have to do it alone. Which would be a first. That should have been done during the past Vietnam war which not only affected Vietnam, but Cambodia Laos and other near Asian neighbours and resulted in the death of innocent non-combatant Asians thanks to the Americans dropping bombs everywhere they felt compelled to do so. We are ALL human beings.
  12. I'm, " outside the region " as you state. I'm in Australia and visited Thailand many times and keep up with Thai news as i am married to a Thai. You would be very surprised how many are "watching this". Maybe because you never travelled outside Asia, My Aussie, American, NZ, etc etc are following this. In short they think Thailand is corrupt from Top to Bottom. I wish I could just wipe my rear to make it all go away. Maybe you should!
  13. The people were not fools. Those in charge of this flawed system are the fools thinking that ordinary people believe in what they spoon feed them. They are the corrupt FOOLS.
  14. I believe in Karma. I really do. Thaksin Shinawatra will get his karma. If not in this lifetime but maybe in his next lifetime Where he comes back as a cockroach and all his enemies are there with big shoes ready to crush him. Ha Ha
  15. Thailand has been flip flopping on visas since I first went there in 2011. The visa issue is like a fish caught on your boat where it flip flops till it dies.
  16. Yes he was scum. Yes he was a senior officer in the RTP and you know how you become a senior officer. You buy your way there to those above you, He had millions of Baht worth of ill gotten gains such as the cars. My questions in my mind if I were him I would not commit suicide as I know the names of the top RTP officials and can expect a shortened sentence. Otherwise if they screw me I screw them. As getting rid of those Ferraris would leave a clear money trail. So has any so called investigation followed that path. I bet NOT. Unfortunately, they did not trust him either way and quickly made the decision. The so called investigation is a joke. As prior comments mentioned similar to Epstein who could have, I strongly believe convicted the Royal Prince Edward, Duke of York. plus many others.
  17. At least check the Ai's bank account just to make sure its a good robocop!
  18. Instead of blaming Foreign guides every time this type of incident occurs. How about focusing on the authorities who should arrest them rather than taking a bribe? As Peter Sellers -Inspector Clouseau once said,"case solved" In short it's not the foreigners. it's your corrupt immigration and police authorities that are causing the problem
  19. "Thailand ended the COVID-19 lockdown on 30 September 2022." The 2021 and 2022 figures are skewed because Thailand was in lockdown during Songkran, yet still had 277 deaths in 2021. The 2023 numbers might not represent the true trend either, as it was still recovering from the lockdowns and afraid to venture out till things settled down with Covid. Thus the more accurate indication of the trend would have been in 2024 which are not showing here. A google search revealed for 2024,"From April 11 to 17 of 2024, 480 people were killed in road accidents in Thailand during the Songkran holidays, which is higher than all the figures in this graph starting at 2014. Not a good trend as it indicates to a statistician its on its way up and significantly. I bet my house for 1 Baht on it the politicians during this period from 2014 of the graph were making the same promises every year as they have made this year. They "Talk the talk" but do not do the " Walk the walk".
  20. What more can I add. Worst still in Thailand this is not unbelievable. In most developed western countries it would be unbelievable! If I were a lawyer in a civilised country where law is obeyed, I would rest my case against the defendants with this evidence and let the 12 members of the jury decide the verdict. Nothing more to add to convince them.
  21. Maybe Thailand should lower it's exchange rate as a start to increasing Exports. It's no surprise their currency ALWAYS follows the trend of the US currency. They manipulate their currency so it does. Bad idea 9in the long term!
  22. I was halfway through reading this and I almost fell asleep. My wife shook me to ensure I was not. I thought it was an earthquake.
  23. I agreed with your comment initially but with an afterthought, one would assume the App works to let others know it has occurred as a minimum because after the initial quake had occurred there is usually a follow up not long after of minor quakes in most instances, or worse sometimes a stronger quake.
