  1. This is the first time I have come here this early.
Usually later and much more crowded.
The attention to detail in this place I think is very impressive. All the photo Ops on each floor representing the different countries.
Lots of people taking photos already.
I will say it again, to me it is not tacky but has a very classy feel to it.  The architect of the interior of this place should be applauded.
I agree it is really well done, but once you have seen it thats it ,i still feel like its a tourist attraction, although i must admit we went there the other day to get an xmas prezy for our grandaughter and it was cheaper than central.
Got a few things 2 for 1 in foodland and really nice coffee in the food court.

  2. ???  It's almost all Thai food.  A lot of the same food you get on the street which is arguably some of the best Thai food there is.  Even better because it is prepared in more sanitary conditions with filtered aircon air.  Sounds to me like you are trying to compare it to food courts back home which are just taco bells and subways and other junk food.
I agree that the food is good, but its not what i would call "dinning out"for that i go to a restaurant with waiter service etc , its just somewhere you eat when your doing the shopping.,as for coffee,i fully agree with you the coffee in the food court is 1st class and cheap.

  3. This topic brings out the old dinosaurs from a nearly forgotten age.
they love John Wayne and refuse to see that the world has changed.
stuck forever in the past....luckily these changes have happened,
Mellenials wonder what the fuss is all about....for them it’s not an issue.....only for the old papa cowboys out there....only people that froth hatred is the old boogies.....they just don’t understand that all their hatred is from a lack of understanding.......guess some of those old papas still think the only way to have sex is missionary position and oral sex is the work of the devil........
let people be what they want to be...it’s not hard to do.

Yes and stop going on and on constantly about how normal it is to want sex with someone of the same sex ,parading around in stupid outfits and waving rainbow flags etc etc ,just do what my cousin did back in the 60s keep it to himself and live a normal life. We couldnt care less.
    Signed
    Old papa.

  4. I think it's good to know Thai style.
Because if you drive here like in the west you will likely to have some accidents because you drive different than Thai style. Probably after the accidents you can say "but I was right, it was their mistake" - but you can say that obviously only if you survive.

When I arrived in Bangkok over 20 years ago I had lots of driving experience in "the west". And when I saw people driving here I was scared.
The I rode a lot on the back of motorcycle taxis for the next years. I learned the roads, the shortcuts but also the way people drive here. I learned what to expect. And that was a lot what I didn't expect with "west" experience.
A few years later I bought my first motorcycle in Bangkok. I am still alive without any major accident. My worst accident was a fall with less than 10km/h.
When i say Thai style i mean that they dont pull out of a sideroad when you are a few yards away from them ,or pull out without looking, cut across the road without signaling,or have the "me first" attitude. But drive with some consideration if not for others ,then for themselves, mind you the wifes car has been blessed and has the "markings" on the interior lining lol
