  1. Why bother? There are no guarantees that they'd even look at it. If money isn't a concern, just fly to a neighboring country and enter overland from there.
  2. I don't doubt that this is the official rule, but at least Jomtien immigration refused to issue non-immigrant visas to those having an overstay stamp in their passport (!) during Covid. Not just to those currently on overstay (which is kind of implied anyway, as there's a requirement to have at least 15 days left). As always, different immigration offices interpret those rules differently.
  3. A step in the right direction, but it comes across as half-baked. They should just change visa exempt to 90 days permanently, same as Malaysia, and get rid of tourist visas and 30-day extensions for tourists. Much simpler and would give visitors more flexibility, without the hassle having to apply for a visa or extension.
  4. Correct, it hasn't been extended. You won't be able to apply for another one.
  5. I think your concerns are well justified, scrutiny of past overstays has been increasing. It's not just the Elite visa. During Covid, people with an overstay stamp in their passport were refused a conversion to a non-immigrant visa at least by Jomtien immigration. An airport fast-track service mentions on their website that they cannot serve those with past overstays. What's next is anyone's guess! To me, the takeaway from that is clear: Avoid avoidable overstays / don't "plan" to overstay. It might be bad enough if it happens by accident or is unavoidable due to special circumstances.
  6. It would be nice if the reasoning behind this was explained somewhere. At face value, this reduction looks both ridiculous and unjustified.
  7. The eVisa for Vietnam costs $25 and allows you to stay for 30 days.
  8. Thailand hasn't launched the eVisa system in nearby countries yet, so you'd need to apply at a Thai embassy or consulate for a regular visa.
  9. My "assessment" is in response to this particular topic. If you had bothered to read the title of this thread, you would have noticed that it's specifically about the THB-USD exchange rate. So yes, the baht is tanking, against the US dollar anyway. Maube you should lament the decline of your currency in your currency's thread instead .
  10. Bound to tank even further. I wouldn't be surprised if we'll see 40 baht again pretty soon.
  11. Laughable, there seemed to be very little demand for the occasionally offered international flights to Hua Hin even before Covid.
  12. I wrote that for the benefit of others reading this thread. Not everyone knows at which land border crossings you can enter Cambodia with an eVisa.
  13. This thread is about the Ban Pakkard border crossing. You cannot enter Cambodia there using an eVisa.
