I use my Kasikorn Bank ATM card, which is a Visa debit card, quite often for ATM withdrawals abroad. It works fine. Kasikorn Bank charges 100 Baht per transaction. On top of that, there's a currency conversion fee (2-3%), and there might also be a fee added by the foreign bank owning the ATM which varies.

I don't see how the bank is at fault here, so I'd guess you'll need to recover those funds from the thief.

I fear that "committee" of bureaucrats more than I would have feared that this - apparently modest and sensible - girl would have done something reckless. Hopefully they can resist the temptation to get their grubby fingers on her money.

He had his own constitution drafted and forced the Thai population to accept it quite literally at gunpoint. Yet apparently it escaped his attention that such a limit was imposed on him. Good riddance (hopefully, for good).

With just a few days of overstay and an apologetic attitude, it's more likely than not that your friend would be able to obtain the extension after paying the overstay fine. Seen it many times.
