  1. Fly the idiot home, then ban him from flying ever again. Passengers like this one cause unnecessary annoyances, delays and dangers to well-behaved passengers.
  2. Kind of sad that Bangkok entered the game so late (in the late 1990s with the original BTS lines), and nevertheless got it so wrong. There would have been dozens if not hundreds of cities worldwide whose systems they could have studied. But no, re-inventing the wheel the Thai way. What a mess.
  3. Did their very name give it away?
  4. Not a bad idea. Let's execute presidents who attempt to undermine elections as well. Bye bye, Donnie Boy.
  5. If you must post nonsensical rants, at least make sure you get your facts right.
  6. You're right about that, but it could be said that your timing is questionable. Maybe you could explain the situation to the embassy and ask them if you could pick up your passport instead of having them send it back, to ensure you'll have it on time.
  7. Yes, it will be an eVisa. Also, for those nationalities that are eligible for visa exempt entry, that will go up from 15 to 45 days.
  8. They don't ask for a flight ticket. You'll also need a picture, 4×6 cm. There's a shop to the left of immigration in case you don't have a suitable one already.
  9. Has it really changed though? The EC and court meddling in politics looks "same old" to me, I'm afraid. "Half way to victory" unfortunately buys you about as much as getting half of the winning lottery numbers right. My reading of this mess is quite a bit more dark than his.
  10. I think you've misread this. The passport isn't at immigration, but at his embassy for renewal. So the question is if he'll get his new passport on time, before he needs to apply for his extension.
  11. You will need a TM30 notification with a Bangkok address to apply for a 30-day extension of your visa exempt entry at IT Square Laksi. You'll get the extension right away, there's no need for a 2nd visit - that was only required for Covid extensions taken "under consideration" first.
  12. You probably got an initial 90-day permission to stay from a Non-ED visa (obtained at a Thai embassy abroad or at your local immigration office). Once those 90 days are up, you'll get a 1 year extension based on attending university. You'll definitely need your passport for that extension. If you'll get it "a bit" too late, they might still process your extension but fine you for overstay. It's best to check with immigration before, explain your situation and hope for the best.
  13. If you enjoy staying in Vietnam, spending more time there and less time in Thailand would be worth considering. Effective August 15th, that will get easier, as Vietnam will bring back the 3-month multi-entry tourist visa.
  14. That seems to be interpreted differently by different IOs - as we've seen reported here. I wouldn't give someone who's using a multi-entry visa the advice that they don't have to file a new TM30 notification when they return from a border bounce, that really seems to be hit and miss.
  15. Not sure what you mean. The permission of stay expires when your extension expires, the re-entry permit doesn't change that date. When re-entering with a multi-entry visa, on the other hand, you get a new permission to stay, with a new expiration date (60 days in the case or a multi-entry tourist visa).
  16. No. When you re-enter Thailand using a multi-entry visa, you obtain a new permission to stay.
  17. He'd probably doze off before all the votes have been counted.
  18. Funny, considering that he pretty much single-handedly created this mess. If Thailand blows up, he really doesn't have anyone else to blame.
  19. What a shameful state of affairs.
  20. RIP, very saddening. Koh Tao in the spotlight again. Whatever the truth may be, there's definitely something sinister about the place.
  21. There have been reports confirming that this is indeed what they want to see. It's a nonsensical requirement, but you will have to meet it - their application process, their rules.
  22. Calling the senators "rubbish"... I admire their moderation and restraint.
  23. Nice one. Any explanation of HOW they ended up with all that wealth? Didn't think so.
  24. Their absence is indefensible. If they had any honor whatsoever, they would all step down, as they can't even perform the duty they were undeservingly given.
  25. Those "senators" are a total disgrace and have failed their country. I don't see any happy outcome from such a meeting.
