  1. Saw it on a few adverts, is it in Ding Dang? or Sukumvit 31? no answer to the phones and no website that makes any sense.

I've done a search on here and it's been mentioned but still no answers as to where it is.

    Does anyone know????

    Regards...

  2. Hello all.

I will be visiting BKK for a week soon. I am hoping to keep up my Gym routine whilst I am there. I would only want about three sessions and would not want to have to join for a month.

Does anyone have an idea of any pay as you go gyms in the area? or even more central that do sensible rates for single sessions??

    Thanks in advance.

  3. Central Kad suan keuw has plates of all sizes including 10kg and maybe even a bit bigger, but not Olympic. There is a sports shop just over the cross roads (North) from the Three kings monument, has all sizes also, but not Olympic.

There is a shop heading towards the airport plaza from the South west corner of the moat (just after the Orange market stalls) that sells better gear, including Olympic bars / plates, or he could certainly order for you. I havent been in tthis shop for while though, may not even still open. Be prepared to pay big money for any equipment you buy here though. It is well over priced.

  4. There is a fairly new shop, it is a very small unit in the ground floor of the Computer Plaza or Icon Plaza (I get these mixed up) the one that has Fitness thailand gym in the same building.

It is on the ground floor and is one of only a couple of shops, you could walk right past it and miss it so don't blink...

It sells mostly supplements (cheapest in town) but other items also. I did notice a pull down rope exactly like u pictured there when I went a couple of months ago.

Worth checking, if they don't have one anymore u have at least found some cheap protein etc.

  5. Look at the sign which offers "English Fish and Chips" !

Guess Chicog's assessment is correct !smile.png

I think you will find that the "Fish & Chip" sign is for the mobile fish and chips that drives around and makes stops at designated places where he enjoys good business.

I stand by what I said. I would bet that the election sign was written by a person of Thai nationality.

  6. Now that is one dumb and insulting farang.

Although I am pretty sure this wasn't the work of a 'Foreigner'

Not only Farang loose money when they need to close for elections you know.

  7. Not sure where exclusive fitness is?

But there is a new Gym called "Go Gym" I think. It's been open about a month already though. Pretty hard core, lots of good equipment in there.

Head North from the North gate through to Chiang Puak. At the Super highway flyover turn left towards Doi Suthep.

Head along the super highway (West) for about 500 meters or so, juts past the Hospital there is a open area on the left side. It's a big warehouse type building.

I was quoted THB 59 for a session. An expteremely good deal considering the quality of the Gym.

If this is not the one and there is another one please let me know..

  8. There is a Pharmacy near Chiang Mai gate heading West, just before the Wilai road turn. They sell boxes of Vitamin B12 & also B complex. They also sell the syringe (You will probably need the 3ml size) and Needles (25 gauge / Orange coloured)

This is for deep Intra muscular so ensure you follow safe injection practice.

  9. Hi all,

I seem to have locked myself out from my ibanking account. Tells me I have entered the incorrect details too many times. Does anyone know the procedure to follow now to get it open again?

I am presently overseas and the only number I could find does not seem to work (+66 2645 5555)

  10. Well, I just flew Air Asia return from Chiang Mai to KL.

I tried to go through transfers and I was told that I could not. I had to go through Immigration and back out. I actually asked staff at three locations druing the course of my trip and was told that I had to pass immigration.

I believe there is two airports in KL? perhaps the other one allows it, but this one certainly didn't.

  11. all previous posters are wrong

You do not have to go through immigration in KL airport and might even be send down by this immigration as you wull be asked how many days you will stay in Malaysia and you will reply 0 so they will send you back down as your in transit.

Thai immigration does not look for any stamp where you come from as they do not care where you come from and if they do they will only ask for your ticket slip which do ask for quit often.

How can you guys reply this to the OP while you clearly do not know what your talking about.

If I took a flight back to Europe I will never get a stamp in my passport as I have a European passport so how could I ever show a stamp to Thai immigration on my return??????

Thai immigration will never and do not have any interest in looking for a stamp of entry into any other country??? why would they even????

So when flying into KL airport just stay down in the hall as a transit passenger where Air Asia has check in counters stationed even. Nowedays with online check in you wont even have to stop by those just go through security and wait for next flight.

I have done this myself a gazilion times by now and the not going through immigration in KL saves me alot of time at times which make me now possible to fly to KL in the morning and be back home in Pattaya at 5pm same day.

This is exactly what I am being told, you wouldn't even have a stamp if you came from Europe so why would they look.

I will give it a try then and hope for the best. Will certainly save some passport space at least !

  12. I have booked myself onto a return trip from Chiang Mai to KL airport on Air asia. Return the same day. Purpose is purely to get a 30 day stamp as that is all I need.

A friend of mine has just informed me that he has done it many times and that there is no need to go through immigration at KL airport. Just stay airside and come back.

Sounds strange to me as I thought they needed a stamp in the passport. He assures me that they don't need a stamp and of course if you have boarding passes for the return trip anyway it proves you have been.

Does anyone have any idea if this sounds right? I do trust the friend who told me but would like to get some other people telling me this is true also???

Please let me know if you have heard of this before...

  13. Just go to the transport office on the Lampoon road near to the Holiday Inn Hotel .Enter the main building and speak to the girl at reception immediately to the left .Tell her you want the papers for selling your bike .Ask her to mark the spot on each of the two papers where the seller must sign .

Give these two papers ,signed by you ,along with a copy of your passport ( must include visa page ) to the buyer .Then its up to the buyer to do the rest .

I have sold several bikes recently that way .

ps , the buyer if he/she is a Falang will need to get a certificate of residance friom immigration .The Falang seller does not need one ( in Chiang Mai at least ) .

Heard lots of stories but this seems simple enough.

One thing though. I don't have a valid visa at the moment, I'm just running on Visa excempts. So this is a problem? or do they just need the stamp page to make sure you are legally in Thailand and not on overstay??

Also is it possible to hand over the right to a third party to deal with the name change if I am out of country? and how would this be gone about?

  14. Hello,

Sure this one must have been covered before but couldn't see it yet.

Whats the rules currently for visa exemption. I have just dont 2 x 15 day land crossings. I don't want to bother with a tourist visa as I am waiting on a date for a job.

I hear that you can do 4 x land crossings now, but what about after the 4th? could you fly out and return to get a 30 day stamp? or is a tourist visa needed to continue your stay?

If a fly out for a 30 day stamp is permitted, then what about after the 30 days is up? can you then start the 4 x land crossings again?

Appologise if this has been gone over already..
