It's really very simple it's about MONEY nothing more, ie greed!
Good time to build a house 1. when it's not snowing concrete doesn't like freezing temps, 2. or monsoon concrete doesn't like extra water added, anything else is BS.
I dont think you get a lot of snow in Thailand

Pity there seems a lack of compassion for the dog walker who actually got shot.

I am on their cheap ADSL plan, and, beginning two months ago, there was a dramatic improvement in download speeds (torrents) and web-page loading. The last 3~5 days here torrent downloads have slowed to a snail-pace (independent of number of peers/seeders, independent of using VPN ... independent of weekday/weekend day, tome of day/night).
Recent SpeedTest:
PING ms 1DOWNLOAD Mbps 947.79UPLOAD Mbps 310.73Current qBittorrent download speed of a torrent with 59 seeders and 48 peers" 20,5K.
Is it possible that 3bb is capping downloads ?
thanks, ~o:37;
Very probably they are. It is a basic function of networking to have the ability to manage the bandwidth available.

I bought a domain name that would fit my intentions (personal blog).
I prepared already some pages (require still some slight adaptations).
But I would need some help on setting up everything.
I live in Nakhon Ratchasima.
Is there anybody willing to help me with that?
Eventual renumeration for your services can be discussed.
TIAWhat exactly are you having difficulties with? I assume your problems are getting it on the server, is that correct?

I would say many Thai drivers drive at these speeds irrespective of the actual limit

Thailand was the first country outside China to be affected by Covid19, but for some unknown reason, Thailand did surprisingly well. Then, about a month ago, the infection in Thailand began to increase sharply. In less than a month, the number of infections doubled compared to the total number of infections in 2020 and reporting continues to rise by 400 to 900 domestik cases per day. This is partly due to a number of bargirls who worked in Myanmar and smashed across the border, and partly to a number of illegal guest workers from Myanmar who worked mainly in the fishing industry in Thailand. Whatever is true is my question, do you think the Thai regime will ever admit that it's all because it's lax and accepts of corruption? Without it, this situation, in my opinion, could never have arisen if we assume that the reports from the first year were correct. What do you think?
Are you sure Thailand was the first country to be infected? Florence in Italy was very early on due probably to the govenor of the area encouraging the locals to hug a Chinese person which for some strange reason they did. I think we all know the outcome of that.

Personally - even though I will be vaccinated by end of April - I cannot see me getting back to the family until at least October / November.
I'd expect at that time to have to show evidence of vaccination only. though what that will be I have no clue.
I doubt all hoops travel will be released until mid 2022
I can sympathise with you. I have not seeen my family since January last year. Now though I am nearly completed on the paperwork and will be flying out middle of March

Has there ever been a time when the whole world needed a Yellow Fever vaccine?
Not that I am aware of but the principle is the same

Like your good-self, I also like black pudding, especially for breakfast. For reference the blood is one of the pudding ingredients (wikipedia):-
Black pudding can be grilled, fried, baked or boiled in its skin. It can also be eaten cold, as it is cooked in production. For breakfast black pudding is wonderful

I know so many guys that worry they will arbitrarily be kicked out of Thailand.
I don't like going to Immigration to renew every year, but I don't seriously worry that I won't get my extension. Other than not meeting the financial requirements, for what reasons might we be "kicked out?" An arrest? A DUI?
Do you know anyone that has been kicked out, if so, for what reason. I don't know anyone, nor have I heard any stories of anyone.
If you have been charged for a criminal offence or spent time in jail will probably do it

And a central database cannot be hacked?
Same same but different.
Nothing is 100% safe so in reality your comment is pretty much unjustified

That would depend on how easy it was to add a few entries.
Without a central database easily accessed by all, it's just a bit of paper anyone could forge.
No it isnt as a copy of the vaccination is kept by the hospital that adminiters it.

In a seaside resort that relies on tourism, why are not all the related industries here demanding and speaking out for some control of things like this ? And are these types of problems more so here than for example in : Cambodia, Vietnam, Mexico or Costa Rica ?
The lack of involvement is I think a big part of the problems that Pattaya. The countries you mention I am sure have similar problems but they probably get more involved in resolving the issues rather than talking but doing nothing more.

Comparing a Yellow Fever certificate with a proposed Coronavirus certificate is just stupid.
Why is it stupid? It is a verification of having the particular vaccine.

I'm reasonably certain that this will never happen
There might be certificates issued by hospitals but I really don't see governments getting involved here, especially western governments.
If some countries don't like it then that's hard luck.
Probably anyone who has travelled the world will have had vaccinations and a record card for them. Are they now calling that form of documentaion a "passport"?

If Thailand is serious about getting a good International immage then this guy who was responsible for the crime has to be given a serious jail sentence. Anything less and the image that the TAT wants for Pattaya will just drift further over the horizon.
Serious action speaks in a positive way to the world, a bunch of flowers does nothing.
Incidentially, I assume the Win Driver is paying the guys hospital bills. Can anyone confirm this?

I will be transfering about 30-40.000 €.
I have a Mastercard, which offers OK rates and no out of country fee, but would like to compare to a swift transfer. To my knowledge best would be to transfer to a Thai Bank in Euros in a € account and then change to Thai Baht. Fee at Bangkok Bank would be 500 Baht.
https://www.bangkokbank.com/en/Personal/Other-Services/View-Rates/Foreign-Exchange-Rates
Has someone compared on the same day Mastercard with a bank transfer/exchange.
Thanks!
Use Transferwise or Wise as it soon will be. Make the transfer direct to Thai Baht which I am assuming you would ultimately want.

Absolute absurd assumption.
It sure is a very big assumption. That would be 9% of the UK all travelling to Thailand. Maybe they meant 600,000

There is a limit that you can send out of country without the Central Bank requiring to give permission for the transfer. I am not sure what it is but I would guess Bht 5 million would be over that limit.I would suggest you check with your bank or rather the head office of your bank.

So now im on with my roof but i seems to calculate something wrong or the builders are. The tiles are fibercement. 1,2m x 0.5m= 0.6sqm
roof is going to be 13m x 18m and hight 2.5. ive calculated 18x13x0,6=140 tiles. With overlapping about 200. And someone calculated 468 tiles.
Someone give me some help here please
should be the total area divided by the area of the tile i.e. (18 x 13)/0.6 = 390. THis is the absolute minimum with no overlapping which you will of course need. Looks like the contractor is probably right
