He noted that being vaccinated was one thing and meant the person would not be able to get Covid. But they could still be a carrier and infect Thai people so the country has to proceed cautiously.

A vaccine does not stop you getting the virus it just makes the effects a lot less. Presumably this indication is an error from the translation.

Hi, I really need help with this.

I have just signed up with Transferwise as I'm fed up paying Nationwide everytime I send money to Thailand.

They have asked for the sister in laws home address with the bank details.

It seems that each way I try to write it in English they bounce the money back.

Is there anyone here that can translate for me in the way I will need to write it for Transferwise so that TMB don't bounce it back?

    The address is -

Definitely buy a proper Internet Security package. Most of the big names are pretty good. Check out reviews on various computer magazines to see comparisons of features and reliability at detecting viruses and security issues. It may be the case that the trial package already installed is one of the good ones. At the end of the free trial they will try to get you to subscribe directly with them. I normally use a favourite package and can usually buy protection for 1-10 PCs for 1-3 years. I usually buy 5 PCs for 3 years off Amazon at about $50 or so in total. They will often send the activation code by email.

I reckon the best ones are Bit Defender (which I currently use), ESET and Kasperski. There are others of curse that are very good these are the three I tend to go for.

We purchased a couple of stand alone windows PCs to do certain things for our business. I see it has the free anti virus as part of the package.

Would you suggest that we buy anti virus? If so which one do you recommend?

    thanks

Buy the Antivirus. The free ones do not detect anything like as many virses as the paid versions.

God gave humans free will and a test

God forgive, people do not, so it is more about the society than god fearing ???? a good example is the tragedy with some (seems to be infested with sexual perverts and abusive men) chatolic priests, they do not fear god, do they where they abuse boys, like classic music, good food, cheese, art, and fancy dresses, shoes and rituals. Crazy or what?

The same I believe we are all one

1 if he gave people free will then they should have stayed in t Garden of Eden. That was not the case which implies he messed up somwhere along the way.

    2. If no one fears him then the phrase "God Fearing" is ridiculous. Probably mde by a poitician to control the people or those so called men of god the clergy.

    3. If as you say we are all one then the combination of every person is god. Not much point in having places of worship if that is the case.

  6. Can any of the believers please explain the following as I cant understand it:

    1. If god is perfect and never makes mistakes why did he throw Adam and Eve out of Eden? Surely they wouldnt have broke the rules if they were created perfectly.

    2. If God is so forgiving why do we refer to God Fearing people? There is no need for fear if God is is all forgiving.

    3. If man is made in the image of God then logically the combination of all people in the world would form God. Reasonable assumption?

Pattaya: British pensioner taken to hospital after roadside CPR - was crossing the road and collided with motorcycle

    2pm.jpg

A 77 year old British pensioner was rushed to hospital at 12.30 this morning after he crossed the road and was involved in a collision with a Honda motorcycle driven by a Thai man.

Mr Vogel FM was seriously hurt and was given CPR by the side of the road by Sawang Boriboon foundation rescue staff.

The bike was driven by Torpong, a sound engineer, who according to Siam Chon News, appeared drunk.

He was only slightly injured but was also taken to hospital.

The accident happened at Sen Thapya Road heading towards Jomtien Sai 2.

A witness called Rattikan, 23, said that the old man was crossing the road when the motorcycle arrived at speed and they all went flying.

I doubt if he collided with the motor cycle, more likely the motor cycle collided with him

  8. If your son respned to questions in english and th teacher didnt understand it is highly probale that the teacher would think the reply was wrong even if it wsnt.

If this is the case you cant call it racism as it is not. What it is, is a mis-understanding across a language barrier. This I think is most likely th case and has nothing to do with racism.

I could of course be wrong but that is my concept of the problem based on what has been offered in the OP.

He needs to wake up, his system is clearly not working, maybe if the money meant for drainage was actually spent on drainage it would be a massive step in the right direction.

In all fairness the people making the decisions have no more knowledge of drainage systems than I do of brain surgery so you cant really expect more than the current situation

He says 99 correct things and you dismiss him based on one comment, early in the pandemic, that was made as people were learning and when there was a shortage of masks so they were being set aside for medical staff.

Less Fox News and Brand New Tube for you. More evidence based news sites.

How do you know he says 99% correct things? I assume you are taking what he says as being true based on what you want to believe.

Illy is great, but more an espresso brand. So is Starbucks Komodo Dragon blend, (Indonesia coffees) or Sumatra, for drip. You will find they cost 2.5 to 3 times as much as you would buy in Italy, the US, Australia, where ever. This is because of TAX. If something is cheap, by that I mean reasonable, and has something like 'Blue Mountain' or 'Botswana Gold' as a label. Excellent chance,  just a name and the coffee is grown in Phayao. Misunderstandings happen.

Hillkoff has a great selection of Thai coffees for a reasonable price, but that is what it is, Thai Coffee. I would buy at their shop or online, not the one blend/roast they sell via stores or supermarkets.

One day we will be able to travel again. As an Indonesia coffee head. All you have to do is stop at the Matahari before flying out of Denpasar. You are loaded for bear.

Illy isnt cheap not even here in Italy

  12. Pattaya can become  world class resort but it never will with the current thinking. A realistic vision is needed as to what would make it a world class resort then a vry close look at all the associated issues that would enable the vision to be realised.

Once that is achieved experienced people with international experience would have to be brought in. There are sme very good Thai's but they lack exposure to international standards which is what is essential if the goaal is to be achieved.

Having said that it is just a pipedream as Thailand will never gain the experience from International workers who could teach the Thai's so much and raise their standards to international levels.

I've always used Office license keys that I bought 2nd hand, but now Windows have been messing around with Word, which is not working properly on all my PCs.

The Macros aren't working properly, in Office 2019, and I use them a lot.

I was told by MS this was because the license key was not OK.

It is expensive to buy Office with a payment every year,  is there a cheaper way to get this sorted out?

I could buy a legit 2016 Office key, that'll be 5 years old, but perhaps that's the easiest way - no annual membership fees.

    Thank you

You can buy the legit keys to Office Suite for around Baht 3 to 4000 so why not just buy them?
