Here’s one that popped up on FB, another charging app.

looked like the usual array of 7kw and 22kw ( if your car can handle it ) at coffee shops and small hotels etc, but I did spot, on the app map, a couple of 60kw and 120kw chargers

but wait a minute … what is this at Swampy !!

    720 kW charging !!

Well there has been some talk of Huawei testing 600 kW chargers in China but this is very surprising.

Has to be 720 kW for the 4 chargers surely, i mean at what max charging speed do we have here ….. interesting to see what speed that guy on charger number 4 is getting ??

    A Porsche at 270 kWh or a Neta V at 80 kWh ??

May be for the Electric Busses in Bangkok going to Sampi?

Toyota today released their annual Financial and production figures ,, they are still number one Vehicle maker in a soft market worldwide with 10.8m vehicles of which less than 1.04% are EVs and 40.8% are Petrol Hybrids .Toyota are actually not planning to spend more on EVs but confirmed that investment in Hydrogen and Alternate ICE development will be tripled .....Also Toyota group still number 1 for reliability and quality  and the most profitable  .

Another interesting development from German and Austrian press and auto industry is that many Chinese made EVs sold in Europe are not doing very well in European winter conditions ,,,corrosion and rust is apparently a big issue and many cars have very thin non galvanised steel panels and are failing EU MOT tests at 3 years old equivalent ,,,, some are not worth repairing ...Also during the coldest months many EU owners are complained of much reduced charge rates and range especially with heaters on ....

Also Chinese car manufacturers are admitting they are not making any real profits on models they sell in China despite subsidies, due to cutthroat competition and dropping sales in China and that only real profits are being made on foreign sales margin where they can sell for 200% markup despite tarriffs ...They all admit they are trying to gain market share and traction overseas to become profitable but will need continuing aid and subsidy from Chinese Government

I am ready for various denigrating comments and I can also understand them: but I have never hurt anyone, but I could have done it to myself. In my own small way I also contributed to the economy of the small village in which I was hidden like a mouse: this will probably be my only post, but I'll try to ask your opinion anyway: I have an overstay situation close to 18 years:  20,000 thb are ready, the plane ticket is ready: if I arrive at Suvarnabhumi without being stopped along the way, I check in, go through immigration, I get the well-deserved ban and goodbye Thailand. Is everything correct or could I have problems at the airport? Let me start by saying that I have no pending charges of any kind. Thanks again.

That must be a new Record, good luck with your Travel plan.

I still have my TM6 from four years ago. Will it still be valid?

Yes,till you leave the Country. My ones is also five years old and Hua Hin Immigration love it to staple it on the last page of my Passport year by year as I take it always out.

I live in an apartment opposite Bangkok Golf Club in Pathum Thani where according to AQAir.com the PM2.5 was 180 at 12 noon.

I keep my air conditioner operating the whole day at a setting of 28 C

Recently a bought an Air Quality Detector and it indicates in my apartment a PM.5 value of 29 (also at 12 noon)

Does air conditioning reduce PM2.5  and keep the dust in the filter?

Beside that a lot of Manufacturers advertising this I don't believe that this Filter Mats in the Aircons reducing any PM2.5. Better to buy a Purifier as your 29 microgram are still to high.

Like most threads on here it goes off topic quickly.

65 year old male, no preexisting conditions, non smoker, 162,000 baht a year. The price depends on how much coverage you want, mine is middle of the road but enough to cover most conditions in BPH, even though I don't like using them, not many choices. A 73 year old friend of mine is paying approx. 340,000 baht a year with a little better coverage than I have. No preexisting conditions and also a non smoker. Hope this helps.

What for Health Insurance you are using, looks quite expensive. I'm in the same age, have a coverage of 20 million THB, In-and Outpatient, 40k deductible per year and pay after 20% no claim discount 62.000 THB a year.

How did you'll shift your thinking from km (ICE car) to kWh (EV).

I haven't picked up our new Sealion 7 yet but just wondering how you adjusted your thinking.

Or once you get the EV it all comes easily.

Your EV and the BYD App shows you always how many Kilometers more you can drive with your actual SoC, so there is not really a different between ICE and EV.

Start with the float valve—if it’s not functioning properly, it could be causing the tank to refill continuously, which might not be apparent if the overflow is draining out of sight. Another possibility is a hidden underground pipe leak, especially if your plumbing system includes buried lines.

It’s also worth considering if there’s increased water demand during specific times, like neighbors tapping into your supply or a timer-based irrigation system you might’ve overlooked. For professional help, reaching out to a service like Island Well Service can be a good move, especially if you need expertise to assess hidden issues or repair components.

    A bit late buddy
