  1. Want to get in each of my 3 Phase Breaker Boxes a Schneider Surge Protector installed. How to chose the right size? One Panel has a 100A Breaker installed, another one a 80A Breaker and two other ones 60A Breakers. My Electrician knows how to install but don't know how to chose the correct size. Any suggestions?

  2. Have a House with Swimming Pool in Sattahip/Bang Sarey Area, but nobody is living there since some month. For now the Swimming Pool Service gets done twice a week but consider now to stop the Service and empty the Pool. Any experienced Member here can advise me what exactly I have to do to ensure that nothing gets broken during the time the Pool is out of Service?

I liked that Mitsubishi ceiling fan you posted.

    Very modern.

    Mitsubishi's are very good.

Have bought 3 of them and they are good, but with a weight of more than 9 kilos very heavy.

Try going to this page on the old reporting site (with no VPN on)  https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn90online/online/tm47/TM47Action.do?cmd=acceptTerm

And then selecting check the status button and then enter the reference number for the report.

    image.png.3240908f5f219e29faf8a7da9dc0e0b1.png

It will show the TM47 form in a different format than the one on the new site and at the bottom it may show the reason it was rejected.

Thanks for this usefull information. After my first 90 Day Report with the new System was approved without a problem in December last year, my second one now got rejected twice. By end of December I moved from Chonburi to Prachuap and have done the TM30 right away, but rejection reason from the old Systems tells me ไม่แจ้งเปลี่ยนที่อยู่ วีซ่านอกเขต/No change of address, non-resident visa.

Both products you mentioned are good and about the same price.

I have used both in many filters, house & pools.

Zeolite for 8 yrs & "Eco Clear" Recycled plate glass for the last 6 yrs. Pattaya based, however we work all over Thailand!

Zeolite can clog up as it is like a minture cage structure. In my experience Eco comes up trumps!

From where to get this type of Eco Clear, ant suggestion?

My well water is of poor quality as it is very hard and very salty (see test results). Therefore I need  a decent set-up. Would this company also give advise ?

Not sure where are you located, but you may contact Viqua direct. For sure you need a bit more Equipment like a Water Softener to get Drinking Water out of your Well Water. I'm living in greater Hua Hin Area and actuall dealing with two different local Shops KAT Tech Hua Hin and Hua Hin Green Water. For additional Information you may contact them as well.

    Interesting idea.

Where would you buy this system and what would be the price. Do you need a contractor to install  ?

Would like to know, as I am in the process of looking for / buying a filtration system for my new house.

You may have a look for Viqua Thailand, they are selling different Units from single Point to multi Points and whole House Units. They are not coming cheap and the yearly maintenance costs are at least 10k-12k THB.

  8. I'm considering to install a Whole Home UV Water Filter System for my new House and want to store 2000 ltr filtered Water in a seperate Water Tank from where a Water Pump is pumping the clean Water into the Kitchen and Bathrooms. Anybody has a similar setup or is it a not such a good idea? Any usefull pros or cons are welcome.

I see recommendations for attic insulation in the USA What R-value Do I Need? | Johns Manville (jm.com) Obviously, it would not be straightforward to compare between any US state and Thailand, however I find it interesting that the USA recommendations vary between Rt 30 and Rt 60 (increasing from south to north).

Coming back to the 2 options I described in my OP:  "Material A is SCG "Stay Cool Green-3 Insulation - Rt 27" at 369 THB per roll. Material B is Sunshield "Extra Cool - Rt 37" at 279 THB per roll"

I find it strange that the material with the higher Rt value (A) is also the cheaper. Maybe it's the quality of the material, apart of the Rt value? Maybe I'm missing sthg in the specs? Not knowing better, I would opt for Sunshield at Rt 37 since it is cheaper and has the higher Rt factor.

You are mixing up two different sizes, both SCG Stay Cool 3" and Sunshield Extra Cool 3" having Rt factor 27, factor Rt37 is for 6"/150mm thickness.

I hope so since it is the same here in Ubon. But that is unknown at this time.

Have done my 90 Days Report this morning, against the old System Chon Buri Immigration has no auto approval anymore. It just get the Status pending, lets see how long it will take to get it approved.

What I have noticed is, that the created TM47 by Immigration does not include all details of my Address, even if I have entered them into the mandatory fields of the Online System.

By my calculation, for a Company owned property, the total tax owed at transfer would be about 157,000 baht.

The company windup could be quite costly (as someone mentioned above). You should plan on at least 60,000 baht (plus the process can take 2-3 months).

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for help, to pay at least 220K THB for such a Transfer will cross out this option.

Does somebody know how much it will cost to transfer a Company owned House into a Thai Ownership and closing down the Company? I get so many different answers from Wife, Real Estate Agent and Tax Agency in a range from 30.000 THB to 600.000 THB, so I'm absolute confused what I have to pay finally for such a change.

Before anyone can answer we need the Land office appraised value of the property. then I can give you some estimates. Without that it is a senseless question.

The Land Office appraised Value is 2.500.000 THB

  13. Wife and myself have got our first Moderna Shots last Tuesday at Kasemrad Hospital in Prachin Buri, ordered and paid last May. The whole process was pretty well organized and they went strictly according received payments so we have got finally our que number #84 some weeks before arrival of the Vaccine. From 1st of November onwards you could book an appointment so we went right away on the first day of their vaccination program.

  14. Quite a high price per sqm. Since some weeks in negotiation with Housebuilders in Prachuap and best price is 12K/sqm and includes some extra requirements like double wall, special Roof Tiles, Ceiling Insulation 150 mm etc. Better to get at least 3 quotes from different builders after you have defined your specifications for your new house.

Terrace Area should be 50% of the price per sqm
