Oh goodness. I am not sure whether I waited 3 months before doing that. I opened up a new account which had a higher interest rate and moved the money (well over 800K baht). So on this technicality I will be refused an extension? What do you advise?

As long as you transferred your money I to your new account on the same day, shouldn't think you will have a problem.

The house book belongs to the house, not to you as person.

Every house can have a house book, but every person can only be registered in one at the same time.

    Ok...

    Just 1 question please.

If my yellow book and my wife's blue book is registered for our house in Bangkok.

What's the process of register my name of our new house ?.

If we can't have our name's in two house books at the same time.

Could I just least the land for 30 years off my wife and not register the house ?.

    I'm Confused

Get a usufruct...do the research. The one I obtained for the Land and house in Udon was completed at the Land office and was good for my life, at the time I had just turned 50. It is up to the land office if they will do the usufruct this way. You can always do a leasehold which would be for 30 years and if the land owner (wife) was still willing to do another 30 years you could do another one at the end of the first 30 years.  The Chanote will be in her name but your Info will go on the back for the usufruct.  As far as the house goes yes you can own the structure but you will not be listed in the blue book, for that you will need to do a yellowbook.  Best to find a real estate lawyer who can assist you.

Great thank for your feedback, very much appreciated.

I already have a yellow book for our house in Bangkok my wife's name is on the blue book.

Could I also have a second yellow book for my new house ?

  4. Me and my wife ( Thai ) have just brought some land up in the northern town of Pai.

I'm looking for any recommendations on a good legal services company which could help me with the below :-

    1. I would like to lease the land off my wife for 30 years, and maybe a option to extend after the 30 years.

    2. We going to build a house on our land, I would like the house to be in my name 100%...

    Much appreciated on any feedback.

Hi, was that on the road price ? Etc....

  6. Have anyone had any experience of NON O married extension without a bank book ?.

I have moved my 400k from my Bangkok bank account to SCB EZ savings account.

The SCB account is e account with no bank book, the account pays 1.50% interest.

Will the Thai Immigration accept  bank statement and a letter from SCB without a bank book as proof of my 400k ?

I've heard of people who have, try different branches, some better than others for sure

I emailed the head office of SCB, they replied saying it upto the management of each branch if I can or not.

Head office also started because I'm on a long term visa with yellow book etc they can see any problem me opening a account.

SCB EZ pays 1.5% interest which is one of the best rates around

    Why ridiculous?

Small bikes usually go for 300 baht a day. A forza costs 3 times as much to purchase as well as maintenance, which would make it 900 Baht. Then take into account that a Forza willl spend more time just standing around in the shop instead of being rented out because most people rent smaller bikes.... and then you are at 1200 baht. Maybe you can find one for 1000, but finding one lower than this won't be easy, except maybe a run down 300cc model...

Motorbike rental in CM cost a lot more than other places in Thailand.

155cc PCX, NMax etc.. will set you back 500฿ day you may get a small discount for long term rental

  9. I rented a Honda Forza 350cc with storage box from POP big bike rental.

The bike was very new I rented for 9 days, the covid19 price was 900฿ per day. But on the POP website the price was 1300฿ plus 100฿ for the storage box total 1400฿.

just a side note POP have the new Honda ADV 350cc in stock, I would consider the ADV over the Forza
