  1. Hi All

A very dear friend of ours is at The Chulalongkorn Hospital and is desperately needing A negative Blood from donors under the age of 55. Please contact Nurse Annie at 0815357860 to make arrangements. This needs to be done before 7:00pm tonight preferably. They need 3 liters....please help!

  2. Fair play Chantal, at least you asked. Have you been to all the local residences .... collar and bell ... it would make the owner's day

You are so right Dreamrider. I have spread the word with the locals with the hope that someone would be happy to be reunited with this cutie. I am still hoping that someone will contact me....but in the meantime I have to admit that we have got very attached to this little creature much to the dismay of the rest of our animal kingdom. They are rioting presently although they know me very well when it comes to introducing newbies.

  3. Dr Doonta at Phuket International Hospital is fantastic and her surgery is spot on. So the chance of needing reconstructive surgery is minimal.

  4. Have to agree with SB. We had a group of about 12 people and everyone raved about the Thanksgiving dinner. Pity that Rick has had to cancel the Christmas lunch.

  5. I received an invitation - which is open to all - from Rick n Rolls:

"100/51 Kata Road, Karon Phuket 83100 Just between The Beach Center & Club Med on the New Kata Road by the Monday & Thursday Street Market.Bring your appetite we have 299 Baht Regular and 499 Baht Large portioned meals including a glass of Sangria Wine and all the live music your heart desires. Enjoy the best American Celebration with The Pow Wow Band."

  6. The fact of the matter is, most dive companies are owned/run by sexpests wanting to stay in Thailand and staffed by bar girls that are living/married to divers.....I wouldnt bother in Phuket if I were you.

How hilarious  Where do you get your facts from? :whistling:

  7. I am also having problems. This has been going on for over a week. They keep on telling me that there is a problem in our area (Kata Hill)and that they are fixing it. Most frustrating!

  8. Have to agree with Steven. It is a pity to read some of the posts on this thread which clearly shows a lack of knowledge about the diving around Phuket. During the low season months there is no diving off the west coast of Phuket. However in the high season months these local dive sites do have a lot to offer.

Also the daytrip diving (Sharkpoint, Anemone Reef, King Cruiser Wreck, Koh Doc Mai, Racha Yai and Racha Noi as well as around Phi Phi islands) is in fact better during the low season. The divers tend to see more marine life and bigger pelagics during these months due to the less amount of divers and boat surface traffic as during our high season months.

    Safe diving all!

  9. Hi Chantal (or anyone who can help) - what time does the boot book sale at Greenman start, please?

The car boot sales start around 10:00am on the first Saturday of each month. However to get the most of it would be best to visit in the afternoon. By then most of the stalls are already set up. That is weather depending of course. Also many stalls will be set up in the shade under the trees away from the parking area next to the street. So if you drive past it could appear to be empty.
