Many thanks Dianne, will contact them. I really hope that they can help as this dog is really in desperate need of help.

Many thanks George, Buckwheat, Barry and the sponsors for the great evening! The spare ribs were excellent as usual and the salads and corn very tasty. Missed Donna so we had a drink for her. Great to see Max again (you and your Mrs too Gerd) and sorry that Mr and Mrs Sadman did not make it! It was also really nice seeing friends again and meeting other TV Members.
Msfikong wondered if that was you but when I noticed you sipping a beer thought I was mistaken. For some strange reason (why?) I thought that you did not imbibe so thought that you were a look alike. Apologies!
Much appreciated Guys!

Sounds like an excellent recipe John. Will definitely give it a try.

Thanks Chef for the recipes. The 1 from Glenn Shapely seems to have the better ingredients. I am very lucky as I get mine from KL which makes me a little lazy to make them myself.
Nevertheless will give it a try someday.

Hi Biltong
I am an ex pat SA living on Phuket for nearly 15 years now and am happy to brag that I have more Biltong, Droeer wors, Simonsberg Feta Cheese and Boerewors in my fridge than I ever had back home.
For Boerewors we get it from Out Of Africa Restaurant in K.L. Our friends own this restaurant and they make their own Boerewors as well as an excellent Oxtail stew. For details on how to contact them please feel welcome to PM me.
Totsiens!

Hi All
Does anybody know if there is an animal welfare society or animal rescue service in the Ranong area?
If so please help. I returned from a Visa Run yesterday. We went to Burma via the Club Andaman Pier and saw a female puppy in a shocking state. She has already had puppies (being a puppy herself) is painfully thin and starving. She also has a wound on her right back hip. Looks like she was kicked or hit by a vehicle. She hangs around the parking area and is in desperate need of some help.
Hope that somebody out there in the Ranong area can help this poor puppy. If so please feel welcome to PM me for details.

Hi Amy
I know of some nice modern style 2 bedroom houses in a lovely garden setting in Kata. However they are not fully furnished. If you are interested feel welcome to PM me.

Kan Win is right. Although not very recently, for years I have been buying Filo Pastry from the Deli in Patong. The sheets were rather thick by comparison to the Filo elsewhere and if you are planning on making the triangular cheese or spinach pies (tiropeta or spanakopeta) you need to use 1 sheet instead of the usual 2 to 3 sheets. I found the quality of the pastry to be very good.

Ooops sorry not Fiddledude - Fiddlehead!

Sunday's are usually at the "Trip Advisor" fund raiser benefit at the Pacific Club in Karon from 6-10.
They raise money for kids whose parents have AIDS at their weekly get together and dinner.
Not sure how you make reservations but I'll try to find out.
Double Trouble are great to listen to and we enjoy The Groove Doctors as well. Pity The Groove Doctors are not playing at Joe Kools anymore. Since Fiddledude is also 1 of the Troubles - we are planning on going to The Sala soon to listen to Double Trouble.
Otherwise the bookings for the Life Home Project Fundraisers can be made (must be in advance for catering purposes) via the following website:
http://www.pacific-club-phuket.com/dinner.htm
Fiddledude usually plays solo at these functions.

Thanks a lot for your help - I will go and have a look at them.

Hi All
I am looking at buying a bread maker. Any ideas or recommendations would be most welcome. Also where can I buy 1 on Phuket? If not on Phuket, then Bangkok?

and chantal will be wearing a wetsuit i suspect.
Can't wait to show off my new little black number! Will go well with my antique purple and pink floral mask.

Hot and sunny! Better not say too much - don't want to tempt the rain gods.

Am so devastated. Tokyo Joe, 1 of our street dogs located around the southern end of Kata Beach was poisoned last night. He suffered a horrible death. Still cannot understand how cruel people are to do this. Wish I knew who the *****d is

Koh Racha Yai is located 1 and 1/2 hours by boat south of Phuket. The snorkelling and diving is far better than Coral or as nicknamed by the divers Coraless island.
Hope this helps.

Here's another option. These guys are really good and TV Member Fiddlehead is a member of this group.

It is absolute nonsense - only a vicious rumour!
I have just spoken to Howard and this is the first he has heard of it. Also my hubby was there this weekend watching the rugby and we have reserved a big table for Saturday.
