Foreign Tourist Collapses and Dies In Walking Street Area
racket replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
This is happening all around the world! -
On average, rainfall peaks and is heaviest in November according to data so that's true. Although, that doesn't mean December is without rain. The mean temperature also drops more in December compared to November, followed by January. With that said, December is part of the monsoon season, which typically starts in October and goes through end of January. Below is data from 2016, couldn't find a revised version.

The low volume of visitors to Koh Samui is not attributable to Bangkok Airways. Prior to 2017, when Samui's tourism industry was booming, nobody had any complaints. The government's 2016 takedown of firms, outrageously high taxi fares, scams, and ripoffs are also to blame. Military trucks and soldiers were practically demolishing structures in front of your eyes. Since then, this has stuck in people's minds. It's great that now there have been significant initiatives taken to restore the infrastructure and the roads. But once more, the island is too pricey for most people to visit, which is why just a small number visit. Perhaps that is the appeal, but in actuality Bangkok Airways has nothing to do with this. If you book early, you can almost always get good deals. Additionally, the monsoon season, which lasts from November through the end of February, is not the best time to travel to Koh Samui. The worst month is December. Maybe the issue is with marketing? People travel to islands expecting sunshine and pristine oceans, but when they arrive in the middle of December, the island is drenched with rain. Nothing will be fixed by building this bridge to nowhere; on the contrary, it will simply make matters worse. The island can't support so much traffic, and the pollution will put off many people. An island should be just that—an island. We all know how much corruption is involved, therefore all of this money will be wasted.

These dumb mfs. But I give credit for not dropping face and continued with stupid excuses. I wonder how much damage this have impacted the reputation of a struggling tourism industry that has the potential to add billions to the country’s revenue pool. -
Stupid me! I lent a lot of money to a Thai woman.

More than 5M Chinese Visitors expected in Thailand next year
racket replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
5 million out of a population of 1.6BN? TAT has been bad at projecting with lower actual numbers than forecast, but considering the scope of the Chinese inbound/outbound - 5 million tourists for a whole year is nothing. -
The miners took only $0.8 last time I transferred around $3000 using the Tron (TRX) network. As of this writing, the USDTHB rate stands at 35.018. $1 USDCTHB gives me 34.97 on Bitkub. But anyways, that’s the way I do it and if you feel Wise works out better, I hope that you now know of an alternative method ???? if you are patient you can set limit orders, there are times when it goes above 1:1. Good luck!

There is always going to be fees associated with transfers or exchange. So 0.25% is $2.5 out of your $1000. That’s pretty cheap compared to the lower exchange rates and fees on several Banks. I used to pay over $100 in bank transfer fees, but no longer. CoinBase is one of the most expensive crypto exchanges. Consider another regulated exchange such as Kraken. I normally deposit $1000 into Kraken, convert to USDC. Then transfer it to a USDC wallet on Bitkub, which takes less than 5 minutes. (Small fee applied here). Then I convert that USDC to Thai Baht and transfer that money into my Thai Bank account. All this for less than $5-$8. Make sure you sell your $ on Kraken and set a limit order to 1 for USDC or USDT, you’ll save on fees for setting limit orders as well.

The way I do it is through crypto. Here’s how, open up a bitkub crypto account in thailand and deposit Thai Baht. You can choose different USD stable coins, but the ones available there are USDC, BUSD, and USDT. Then, withdraw your stablecoins to a crypto exchange in America or another of your choosing that allows withdrawals to a US bank account. This saves your a lot of transaction fees and you are not getting ripped off by the exchange rates that Thai banks offer to convert to USD.

Easing of Thai Property Ownership Attracts Wealthy International Buyers

The UK is bankrupt with a collapsing currency and an unstable political situation, the country's national debt has skyrocketed awaiting further austerities by the UK government with higher taxes in the years ahead. Currently, the UK is in a recession. $1 million ain't getting you anything in the UK considering its overinflated living standards. Most people want to get the heck out of the UK. It's an unfortunate truth. With respect to South America, I said "maybe". Think of places like Uruguay, Chile or Panama. There are also some attractive places in Mexico, but I would disregard Mexico as a safe country to live in, for now. There are plenty of choices and value if you want to invest in this emerging continent. Now, the main reason why I think Thailand is loosening their foreign land ownership is due to the depreciation of the Baht. So, by opening up the country to foreign investments could help support the baht long-term. Fiscally, the country is doing fine and economic growth is here to stay. If you have $1 million of cash (~38 million baht) sitting around, now is the time to deploy it. It's naive to say you ain't getting much of it in Thailand, because in reality you are. -

Who wants to live in the UK? The country is a garbage hole if u ask me. Thailand is cheap and lots of more things are attractive if you choose wisely. Europe is done, but South America maybe. -

40 million baht equals around $1 million dollars these days, and if you only need to invest that amount within 3 years - that's even less than that. So it could attract many foreign investors, considering the fact that the Thai baht is trading to a massive discount relative to the greenback. Obviously, there's much more details to be known before this get's approved but kinda gives u a gist of how much you need to start craving into the thai real estate market. -
He got conned. Maybe nearest Bhudda temple can explain it. Could it be Karma?
