  1. Inflation have made things worse, and having the government to subsidize loans and hand out money to ordinary people, is the root of all debt problems to start with. Government need to step out of the way, and let the market handle it. Those who have lent out money must take responsibility if they are not getting paid back.
  2. What if her business requires a car? Her children also need to attend school. The fact of the matter is, social media has played a huge part of this problem. Everyone wants to show off stuff they can't afford, to impress others who don't seem to care anyways.
  3. Absolutely horrible! I feel so sorry for this guy. I really hope he makes it ????
  4. For those who don't know. If you own a bike in Thailand; you have to have mandatory insurance and pay annual motor tax. The insurance you get will cover health care costs as well as third-party costs should you incur damage to others. Hospitals will get reimbursed from the insurance company. If you are a tourists renting a bike. You'll definitely need health insurance that covers motorbike accidents, but you must (in most cases) have a drivers license and should have wear a helmet during the accident. Otherwise, the insurance company won't pay any liabilities. Be careful out there, and hopefully the 25 y/o man gets back to normal soon.
  5. I have been off deodorants completely. Instead I use Aloe Vera for my under arms. I also use it for my hair and face cream. It doesn't smell anything but it definitely keeps you dry. You can buy them in Tesco or Big C. I think they are about 180-200 baht and lasts for months. Way more healthier than all the chemicals you get from deodorants.
  6. Rest in Peace! He truly made an immense contribution to this community.
  7. Lol, June 1! Just when the raining season begins, and everyone applauding thinking these standards will have an effect. 1 year later and we’re back to normal hazard pollution. Fact is: they facilitate nationwide burning and encouraging it, because big money is being made in this business. The amount and level of bullsh!t coming out from these peeps amazes me.
  8. My electric bill came at 2950 baht for the month of April. Last year, I didn’t pay more than 1200 baht per month.
  9. By the look of this thing, one would wonder if it was just a matter of time. I have been inside this ferry before and let me tell you, the whole structure is rotten from the bottom up. These things were going 24/7 and the question is if they ever gets maintained.
  10. Glad they arrested him. This is one of the reason I never keep too much money sitting in a thai bank. People need to be aware that you can't trust the rule of law and the institutions in this country. Even if its a major bank, you should not have too much money sitting in a Thai bank. The reason being is that most of these criminal gangs have infiltrated themselves through immigration, law enforcement, the banking sector and even the police force (which is very weak). All combined making foreigners an easy target. Always use a western bank with USD, EUR or equivalent as fiat and shop around with a debit card such a Revolut or Wise with no fees attached to spending. If something like this ever happens, you'll most likely be insured and there are sophisticated tools to re-route money back and even locate the gangs behind frauds like this. In this particular case, the thai bank wouldn't be able to do anything, so they had to bring in the police and actually arrest the dude. https://talk.thethaiger.com/topic/9546-kasikornbank-bank-employee-fraud/ <<<< Link to Bangkok Post removed >>>> https://www.nationthailand.com/thailand/general/40023571 https://thethaiger.com/hot-news/crime/bank-rolls-over-after-security-footage-captures-employee-stealing-money There are numerous cases, but these above are just examples.
  11. If there's not enough supply, no. But higher prices eventually cures higher prices, whether that comes from increased supply or people unwilling to pay. A recession in the global economy would drastically bring prices down, in a possibly deflationary environment.
  12. They are both equally stup!d. American LB's are woke, but the thais are just doing it because they don't have any masculine energy anymore.
  13. Well, if you can lure your enemy being a hot chick in the middle of a battlefield.. Then these ladyboys would obviously serve a good purpose. They are still biologically Men.
  14. He’s a lost cause, and at the same time tired of being overseas. Most likely he’ll bow down to the elite because the police force is not longer with him. Prayut managed to cleanse Thaksin loyalists within the force, so once he comes back there won’t be anyone he can rely on. This was obviously all planned. He wasn’t going to be exiled forever. If the elite is now working together, then the people are fvcked, with zero opposition. Pure speculation, but the puzzle is all over the place. A champion of democracy hides in Saudi Arabia. What a joke!
  15. I would be cautions, the guy is most likely welcomed back because he certainly made concessions with the thai elite. This country is ran by a conglomerate of families, and in the end the ordinary Thai citizen will remain the biggest loser. On top of that, he must have made concessions with the west to make sure business deals are set in place if he decides to make a comeback and run for political office. Thailand is not better off going from a corrupt leader to another, they really need somebody new and young from the middle class and understands what needs to be done to fix this country moving forward. What this means for foreigners living in Thailand also remains a big question, because as I remember, foreigners weren't treated well during his reign. The police force was so damn corrupt when Thaksin was in power, and that's something I give credit to Prayut for dealing with it (somewhat), but not to the extent that it has been effective for all these years he's been in power. Too early to celebrate IMO, but again, the ordinary thai is the loser either way.
  16. The only hope now is if this is just an April fools day joke????
