  1. Does this guy Anutin get on my last nerve. Yes he does. What waste of space and air he is.
  2. I second that emotion.....yesterday I stood for 15 minutes while a lady paid for a few items using her efficient smart phone.
  3. Well I never....policemen cheating, who'd ever thunk it? "In the latest tests hundreds were cheating out of 1,000+ who sat the tests. This high rate of cheating suggests that some external agency was selling the exam or answers in advance i.e. corruption in the RTP on a massive scale. So pretty much everyone taking the tests were cheating. What about the enablers who facilitate the cheating?
  4. Sounds like a very low estimate. The main road Rt2 from Saraburi up to Isaac is absolutely clogged for days.
  5. If the US and Thailand want him, he will be extradited to the US not Thailand.
  6. You mention the endgame. The US's problem is that it never thinks through the exit strategy and endgame. The sort of question like "what does success look like?" is never asked or answered by the Pentagon. All of which means we have had such a series of huge successes following America's lead into wars......look at after 20 years of war, the Taliban on Tuesday banned all education for girls.....Libya a total disaster, the richest African state 20 years ago now a disaster; Syria, the US are actually stealing (it is totally illegal) Syrian oil; Iraq still an unstable success where going to the market may get you killed after 30 years of American war. I could go on and talk about the so called so called successes like Kosovo....once touted as a success and which is now slaughtering ethnic Serbs, provoking a reaction from Serbia....not a single one of these wars had an endgame. How can you win wars when you don't know what your objectives are?
  7. I can't wait until we stop seeing this horrible grasping clown on the front news pages every day.
  8. I don't use PayPal and never have. A credit or debit card is good enough for my internet payments. Funny thing about choice.....we now have 100 ways to pay over the internet....too much choice for me....I lose the will to live when I have to remember the passwords, so I pick one and use it.
  9. Well done Don. Now is not the time to acquiesce to endless US propaganda, but to use your own brains to decide whether the US is a force for good in the world or a force for evil. With the endless wars started on a seemingly daily basis against anyone who has oil, it would appear to me, they are a force for evil and theft (of Syrian oil).
  10. Yet another idiot banging on about road deaths. The laws to prevent deaths are already there.....they just need implementing. Go to any traffic police office and you will see all the police cars parked there, all day. The lazy cops are presumably sitting round drinking coffee and. counting out the tea money instead of enforcing the traffic laws. This subject is so infuriating.....here with Prawit having been in charge of cops for years now, banging on about it. Sack Prawit and get someone who will make the police do their jobs.
  11. Is there any more pointless effort than a War on Drugs? There has been a world-wide war on drugs for 40 to 50 years, and what has been the effect? Absolutely no reduction in drug use at all. Why continue with a totally pointless activity?
  12. For the worst nuclear crisis since Cuba, it is sad to have a demented geriatric who has <deleted> advisers at the helm. I'd take JFK to be President any day.
  13. I stopped going to these parks several years ago. I despise this practice of charging farangs extra. The experiences inside the parks I did visit were generally underwhelming.
  14. Do you think that the government will allow some price competition among the firms that operate there?
  15. Straight from the horse's mouth. If you just love doing paperwork then go the marriage route. It has zero advantages over the retirement route (except less money in the bank) and you get to jump through thousands of bureaucratic hoops every year. If you have the cash to afford it, best way is retirement option but you need to lodge 800,000 (vs 400,000 with a marriage visa) baht in a bank account with limited access for a few moths a year. The other benefit is that if you have Non-O A visa you need medical insurance if you go by the marriage route. (Your wife becomes responsible for your medical fees). If you don't have the money, in this case, an "agent" is the best but costs anywhere from about 15,000 to 30,000 per year inclusive. But if this is the case it is questionable whether you can afford too live in Thailand....it's not cheap here.
  16. Clearly the new police chief is putting the police resources where they will do most good. One can only applaud this before he changes tack and has a crack down on old ladies growing hemp.
  17. Ugh! What a nasty thing to do. Surely stuffing sandbags into the drains will not help the flooding but will only make the flooding worse.
  18. Yes, let's nom irate someone who falls asleep in meetings. That will gee the party up.
  19. It is idiocy for the Central Bank to but Baht when it is up against the USD. Better wait until this round of dollar rise is over.
  20. Different banks require different paperwork. It's nonsense but TiT
  21. Are we sure that when shopping, for example, shops cannot make their own riles as to masks etc?
  22. Yet another travesty o0f justice. It really boosts confidence in the police as an institution.....NOT!.
  23. Without an impartial justice system Thailand is doomed. How long before EU sanctions for lack of democracy?
  24. I don't feel I've wasted my life or time. I have done what I wanted to do and have relaxed when I cared too. I have no regrets and still have some life to live at a reduced pace.
