  1. Testosterone replacement therapy under the guidance and administration of a Doctor is a valid and helpful hormone therapy for folk with low testosterone. What is being described here using 250ml per week is steroid abuse for the purpose of hacking the body to build muscle. That's a totally different thing and is obviously dangerous.
  2. It is definitely a challenge to find a reliable person however I did find one and have used them several times for fairly sizeable jobs involving ceiling, painting and balcony work amongst other things. It's not a one man band and the owner has a small team of people. I've used them several times and never been disappointed by the quality of the work and their professionalism. For example I have quite expensive wooden floors in my place and they were very careful covering and protecting those before work started. He's probably not the cheapest in the world but generally you get what you pay for. He always gives a written quote if asked and sticks to that. The company name is P & B Ceiling and the owner's name is Khun Bpan. Mobile (092-276-2766 or 081-862-5996)
  3. Ah ok that not too bad then. Thanks for the info fellas.
  4. Good point, I forgot to mention that. It is Jomtien.
  5. I've got my Non 'O' for the purpose of retirement 3 months ago which expires on 25th September and that will need to be extended for the 12 months at least 2 weeks before the end of that expiry. I would usually do it well in advance but I have short trip to make outisde of Thailand on 3rd September for a couple of day so I'll use a re-entry permit. My question is on my return when I submit my passport for that 12 month extension how quickly can I get that passport back? Is there any way to speed that up ie fast-track or by using an agent?
  6. Can I ask why you use an agent if you have the 800k in the bank all year round? I'm in the same boat with the 800k having a balance all year round, the paperwork is no big deal and although making a trip to the immigration for an hour is not high on my favourite things to do here I would imagine the fees wouldn't justify letting an agent do it. Although I'm saying that not knowing what the agent fees are!
  7. OK that's good to know. Even when I've done it previously and dutifully returned on the correct "appointment" day stated on the sheet they've always just taken the bank proof and casually put it to one side with no sign off or proof given to me that I could use to show that I had ever done it. I always found that kind of strange.
  8. Except it hadn't been attracting any attention at all from the IO's for the previous 10 years. She was the first which statistically makes her the outlier. Clarity and consistency is all we need.
  9. Ive just recently applied for the retirement Non O, I've had several before but it was a few years ago. So after the stamp goes in the passport are you saying I wont have to go back after 3 months with another proof of 800k?
  10. No there are no remarks on the passport itself. Not sure if they have the means to doe that on their database when they scan the passport as you enter. Anyway as I already had the required funds in my Thai bank account I applied for the Non O retirement visa at Jomtien to be on the safe side. She got her way and earned the Kingdom some extra visa income!
  11. Apologies for my ignorance, what exactly is this about? I've searched my Kasikorn account online and nothing is coming up for this requirement.
  12. Not sure what they are talking about here, they have got it the wrong way round. I've lived at this location for the last 10 years and the procedure was always - road closed and gated off during the day and then opened up at night. During the Covid situation all of that went out of the window and they didn't quite know what to do with the road opening times. I suspect that has contributed to this decision.
  13. I think I'll just apply for another multi entry retirement visa to save any future grief. I'm assuming I can still do that at Jomtien and change my visa exemption to the Non 'O' ? Am I correct in saying that medical insurance is required now for the retirement visa? It wasn't the last time I had one a couple of years ago.
  14. She actually tried to make it sound like she was doing me a favour by saying the visa exemption "is not good for you". I tried to point out in a friendly manner that it was actually ideal for me.
