who have consistently maintained their innocence, stated they have spent a decade behind bars for a crime they did not commit.

I totally agree. DNA evidence on the hoe DID NOT MATCH either of the two Burmese lads. (wikipedia)

There was one UK citizen who witnessed the murder, a friend of David Williams, who suddenly left the island and Thailand for the UK. It was believed he was "forced" to leave suddenly, in fear of his life. Whatever, he was innocent even though an intial suspect, so I am not going to name him. It is in the link.

Witheridge and Miller travelled and arrived on the island separately on 25 August. Witheridge was travelling with three other friends, and Miller with two others.[11] The two met in Koh Tao while staying at the same hotel.[7][12]

He (police spokesman) also said it was unlikely that police would be able to detain Mr.............................. David William Miller's roommate on Koh Tao, but if new evidence emerges they would ask for the cooperation of British police. Mr........... may return to the United Kingdom as early as tonight........DNA of 12 people had been tested, including nine samples from Myanmar workers and one from ................ the roommate of male victim David William Miller. The tests found none of the DNA matched that collected from semen found in the female victim's body, ............... Police sources said Mr ..........  was stopped as he was about to leave Suvarnabhumi airport on Tuesday and placed under police questioning.

    Vaping is strictly forbidden

As it is in Cambodia, should you be considering a border run, however vapes can be purchased at illegal "underground" outlets but there is a risk:

Cambodia banned vaping back in 2014 along with shisha products. To top it off, just to prove how serious they were, they banned it again in 2021. (ref. Google)

The Consumer Protection and Fraud Repression General Department of Ministry of Commerce, in cooperation with the National Authority for Combating Drugs on Saturday burned 288 boxes of UOLO e-cigarettes, equivalent to 7,200 packs, at a landfill in Phnom Penh’s Dangkor district.

vaping in cambodia is very much illegal in all regards, you can and will face judicial punishment and could be giving time in prison as well as outrageous fines.

It's better than a bum gun, far too messy at the table.

Very much so. If I had to use the toilet in a restaurant when going for a "pony and trap", I used to tear off a few sheets from the table dispenser to use instead of the bum gun or plastic scoop in a tub of water!

Before any one has a go at me for using toilet paper - it is my choice!. No further comment from me.

Well he was at the Kok river.

Thanks, my thought as well.😄 Seriously, the KOK River is a very important west to east river in the north of Thailand.  It flows from the Daen Lao Range in Shan State, Burma, to join the Mekong at Chiang Saen in Chiang Rai Province (it is a tributary of the Mekong). It crosses the Thai/Burma border at Tha Ton in Chiang Mai Province (photo below). There is no proper road border check point as the main road stays within Thailand, however there is a track which has a small wooden Thai army outpost to a Burmese village. Near this outpost is a chain suspended above the river carrying both countries flags, in a mountainous section. The scenery is superb.

During the dry season, the river Kok, although large, is extremely shallow and you will see fisherfolk standing in the river just above their ankles. I have visited on several occasions and I have never seen ladyboys "flashing" with handjobs!
