  1. So I guess you don't want to hold his baby tonight then.
  2. It still is, and jet ski's are banned, feeding monkeys 2k b fine, inland is mostly 'owned' by the RTN and National parks.
  3. What price range? and what location?
  4. If you want to eat at a very good restaurant, walk down to *Pen's Bungalows* next door to KC (not to be confused with penny's not in white sand) you can breakfast there also, but don't expect service till at least 9.30am
  5. At least our beaches never closed, so many other places were like ghost towns all over Thailand.
  6. You should enjoy yourself then, no big crowds here at the moment, weekends/public holidays get busier with Thai's. I did start a link here called "Koh Chang Link'' you could check that out.
  7. And had only just given birth to twins, maybe a combination. ????
  8. Mods please move to correct forum. Just to share thoughts on this poor guy plight of his wife dying. ????
  9. Enough for us to get on our knees and pray and hoping their is one won't hold my breath though
  10. It was a very dangerous place to stay, I remember using the stairs one time from way up, had to walk through a kitchen and their rubbish was on the stairs and if my memory serves me well just shortly after we left for 3 months China there was a fire and residents had to be rescued from the roof by helicopter. But it was very cheap to stay there at the time...The building had a central well and you could look down on all the A/C units piled on top with rubbish. ????
  11. My missus last evening got knocked off her motor bike, by a drunk Thai, a witness who helped her up, phoned the cops, so the drunk started attacking the witness, she videoed the altercation then showed the cops, he has agreed to pay for the damage, the cops let him on his merry way. TIT, not a pleasant evening, it could have ended very badly, she only went to get milk for me. Luckily my missus didn't get fazed by it. Strong she is.
  12. To little to late and the tip of a very big Iceberg.
  13. They get paid by the advertisers via YouTube, it is something like 12 USD a month for every 1,000 views/likes. I get an option on my TV do you want to enjoy with no ads, i.e. pay money, I can just press 'dismiss'.
  14. Well you didn't mention the legal side of it for the embassies, it could even lead to fraud charges to them. IMO
  15. Most of us do, any chance to criticize and he'll be there.
  16. Plus they were stamping off a stat Dec without any proof of income which could be a legal hurdle to said embassies.
  17. As said you will need a Thai bank account and have 400,000b deposited before you can get a marriage extension/visa normally 2 months before. Or monthly deposits. bit early to go into all those details yet, but a bank Thai account in your name only is a must.
  18. If its to late to pay the back tax, then as far as I know it will have to be re-registered, new book and plates would be issued can take a week or more for the plates. You could get a Thai to ring the transport office for clarity, or try a yellow cog testing place (it will need testing anyway 200b) they have connections at the DOT office and should know what to do.
  19. This is not a new problem should have been done your first day in office, it is the biggest blight on Thai society IMO, don't just check road tax seat belt helmets, check for weapons as well.
  20. Should be automatic detention of at least 2yrs no ifs or buts to anybody breaking the gun laws, having illegal guns/bullets, and registered guns carried in cars etc. or waved around, + further sentencing on the circumstances involved.
  21. Sorry I'm a bit unclear on your question; it is already registered in your name?, then no need to register in your province.
  22. I used a notary/lawyer for a friend and it was 1,000b, (prove of life for a French guy) funny thing was the lawyer could understand and speak English very well, but he couldn't read it, he really had no idea what he was signing and it was all in French.
