Depends where you live, trying to find bank staff that can understand English is not always easy. They phone their center then you have to use them to translate.

Its the same old question init Rent or buy what type of accommodation are you happy to put up with, power, Wi-Fi, water and drinking water, service charges, alcohol at home or out in bars or restaurant, you want eat Thai food or western food, transport, 'entertainment'. Stay home eat at home, drink at home, no rent, 20k a month. 60 k a month easy peasy 10k a month rent and off you go.

Or just too frigging Lazy if the truth were known IMO never had a prob. here in 15yrs coz I follow their rules and supply all documentation required. Its a quest, them against me, so far I have won for 2k a year.

The staff got so irritated at their own so called Easy Net site, they said we'll just give you your money now. so I took it out walked next door to the yellow bank and put it there. I get less interest but I have a book and ATM card can take money out, set up direct debits. I am not going out to buy an expensive phone<, I'm old school and only use my phone for phone calls, I don't trust phone apps especially in Thailand I always end up getting spam calls, I tried wise and got spam.

Nationwide Must be a UK num. They are paying 4%+ on term deposits but you (a) must have a UK phone number (b) be a resident in the UK. to open/have a term deposit on line even for existing customers. I think it would be classed as fraud if you managed to do it from overseas.
