Well I did get the blue book arrived yesterday, all OK 'cept my name is in Thai and my Pink Card number was used, I was just a bit surprised 'coz i thought they just use my yellow book and PP number.

I know only of one resort with a passenger speed boat, and that is the 'Aiyapura' (a man made beach) in Klong Son quite a big boat. don't think they'd run that for a couple of people. Also you don't say which beach you are going to. At the moment the seas could be quite rough, had some high winds this week/rain. The other factor is coming by boat through or around the small Island Chang Noi can be difficult as you then meet the wind in the opposite direction. Non refundable seems a tad unfair. Hard to predict the weather anymore.

I would get the 7 days from immigration, traveling with a team to Japan, and having to pay overstay at the airport, would be embarrassing for me, and not very good in front of new employers especially if Japanese. keep it professional. IMO. and as said entering japan with an overstay stamp, could raise a red flag.

That's right, I was told 'it's the law' by my local police, when my friend passed away, we had no choice, the cops don't know the 'law'. It caused a lot of stress for me, having to deal with it, and near 50k (his money) for him to be returned for cremation on KC. He died from MND in hospital. "Heart attack'' was the autopsy, may as well put 'died form lack of breath' as we all do.
