  4. From memory even being married, two witnesses were required and one must speak English the wife was not classed as a witness. (same as getting married.)
  5. It was Mrs. Brian that wanted me to get a yellow book, I'm still not sure why though, all I got was, "Good more for you Tilak" no translations needed for anything, but the boss at our Amphur could read English.
  6. Yeh i had a bun fight with one LTO staff insisting on LOR with yellow book, on registering a car, my missus even rang our Amphur office and got her to talk to them, off i went to my IO even they phoned the woman refusing it, she would not back down, my IO gave me the LOR in 10min free. I am quite lucky as my province has two LTO, when i renewed my DL the other one excepted my yellow book (we rang first to check) I will only use that office now.

  10. You do realize this is in the UK? not sure I'd call their Govt EVIL.
  11. Oh OK now I understand, even a high speed boat would have to be very fast indeed and weather conditions aren't always predictable ????????????⚡
  12. All ferries to koh chang are car ferries, not sure of your point? Except some tour group ferries that dock down on the east side, with Mini Buses waiting who then race each other to their designated Resort hotel, normally all Thais or Chinese.
  13. Another question is how much do you need to self insure, at 72yr if 2million in Govt Hospital wouldn't cover it then IMO its all over, end of, bye bye and thanks for all the fish.
  14. Crust Bakery in Klong Prao, good bread, pastries, coffee, and meals.
  15. The road now has been improved, Highway 36 they have built flyovers doing away with stopping at traffic lights for most, (not sure if all the construction is finished yet though) on to Highway 3 once past Chanthaburi fairly clear run.
  16. Have you seen the boat Pier at Bang Bao ? And imagine 30cars going to and fro on that road to get a ferry and the Queues at Peak holiday weekends.
  17. Dealers don't like cash purchases, they like the profits they make on HP .... IMO also they give crap deals on trade ins, I was offered 160k trade in on a car that my insurance value at 300k.

  19. I think you've misunderstood his Question.
  20. The Idea of a ferry to Bang Bao was going to happen but, that would have been unsuitable for cars anyway, and the road from there to elsewhere on the Island for driving is very narrow with extremely steep hills, the idea of 'tourists' hiring M/C from there, sends shivers down my spine.
