  1. What is a a Postman? I read somewhere they are supposed to deliver mail. Now Lazada are using Thai post COD they keep phoning me "Were you stay, me no speak English" so very slowly i try to tell them in little Thai I know, they just stop listening and ask the same question over and over. One of my pet hates is not having ANY post delivered. Just got my land tax bill, recorded mail, my wife found it stuck under her shop door 1km away.
  2. Why ? In the real world you could sue the pants of the local council. Here they sue you back for giving them a bad name.
  3. If you don't watch their every move then at the end of the day it doesn't matter who you chose. (As all 'tradesmen' in Thailand), I have never found One tire place yet, that know every car has a tire pressure sticker on the door post. One franchised store will not be the same as another of the same franchise. Including main dealerships. No sitting in their A/C room drinking coffee for me. Years in the trade taught me that.
  4. We seem to be living in a Thai Soap Opera. Something is seriously wrong with Thai society, with these motives for killing, injuring and maiming their 'loved one' or rival, happening soo often. Only a few days ago a 14yr stabbed a 15yr old at school over gf jealousy.
  5. Even before clicking on this story I knew it would be downhill on a bend, Just another useless driver.
  6. On the Late Kings birthday they never used to. Is that still fathers day here?
  7. When I needed to change the name in the book, ''no can do'' as the last owner had left Thailand so no current visa in the copies of his passport. lucky for me he came back after 3mths. The new 'owner' could just keep it in your name. Maybe someone else will come along with a solution.
  8. When I first started coming to Thailand 30+ yrs ago, I noticed many cats seemed to have a broken tail, I never did know why, but whether true or not I was told it was to stop them jumping up on tables, as it throws their balance out. Thankfully now I never see that.
  9. For domestic use Extra spare battery.( Roadside work is not done so often and normally pass in 30min,) some people spend 4-6hrs. what pees me off is the way they rev them constantly up and down, instead of a constant speed.
  10. Will they sell alcohol on the kings birthday?
  11. I said 15 meters in my original post !5 was a typo.
  12. So NOT a doctor then. Had been practicing for many years.
  13. Bye Bye no girlfriend for you now. but tit so maybe...
  14. On site ? they only do it at their shop where I am and max length i5m to be delivered, that is the length of their 'rollform' big heavy machinery, and any bargeboard, ridge bending machine has a max of 3meters length. What you experienced is not the norm but yes anything is possible.
  15. I got a new set of Maxis from my local Tireplus, they told me wheel balancing free, I watched them, waited till a 4 wheels were fitted and tightened, then went and told the reception, they have not balanced the rear wheels ''Oh we only do the front" JEEZ! I told them to balance the rear also or I don't pay, yep off they came and got balanced. They also did not submerse in water after fitting new tires, or use a torque wrench on the nuts and i had to show them the sticker on the door post to point out the Correct pressure. plonkers.
