  1. OK all this is how it went down, ref. when to hand over the money, arrived at the tent later than expected, they have 2 tents/show rooms only one shown on their site, eventually they came and showed us the way. having checked the car over, road test (floored it to get it hot as) got back and checked for oil leaks etc. By now nearly 3pm, handed over my yellow book and PP (No prob. "we take care falang a lot.) now the DMV was near to closing, so they went and changed the name, meanwhile off we went with a staff member to 'my' bank' after some discussions with bank staff, could direct transfer to their bank, or take cash, dealer did not want bank check, A nice male customer there who spoke perfect English, suggested take the cash, so bank has all details and SMS me, which I did, got back to their tent, no car or book, told name is now you, but DMV vely busy, to check car, so finished tomorrow, plus they changed the oil, 4 new tires, taxed for 6mths Anyhow with lots of signing their, forms, copies of my passport, photos of handing over cash, and them counting it, receipt in hand (by now I'm very tired and need to find hotel) as my wife is an inexperienced driver, they offered to deliver the car tomorrow to KOH CHANG ferry from Chon Buri Phew my missus drives really slow and not used to heavy traffic, we stayed in Klang that night, we got to the ferry and waited till the agreed time 1pm, it arrived bang on time, we had also been sent a vid of it being loaded that morning, the Blue book will be sent EMS ASAP, so we have the car at home now, I would recommend this dealer (so far) on Car2Car 'My Best Cars'. I won't bother now to change it to my province, no need. Sorry if this is a long post.
  2. Sorry but you are 100% wrong. Last time I changed mine to my province from BKK to Trat simply because the dealer's tent staff found it to hard to put in a 'falang' name, so put in my wife's name. I only changed it bcoz i wanted it in my name. But having said that i do preferer it registered in my province as, right or wrong, i think the local cops don't bother so much to scrutinize you when stopped.
  3. That's what i was thinking i did last time but it was 5 yrs ago
  4. Good idea Nail paint works on chipped tiles should work on this, after the glue fix maybe.
  5. Thanks OK i'll try that but these dealers, find it too 'ard to put it in falang name sometimes, so worst case scenario, put in wife's name first ????
  6. Sorry if i 'm confusing but the question remains, if he has signed the transfer papers, is then 'safe' to transfer the money to the owner/dealer. ? going tomorrow, he has the book shown on their car2car site.
  7. sorry but are not the signed papers + sellers ID not enough as i want to register it in another province? (i have yellow book) or put in wife's name then transfer to me, as we have done before.
  8. After deciding to buy a used car, when to go to the bank to transfer money, what docs are needed. I presume once the transfer papers are signed ???
  9. But but it's Webfact so it must be true. fake news is against the forum rules. The full story says 351 trips, not over 7 years so about 1 a day if no return or 176 return, and she has had the red plates for 7yrs
  10. Just make sure spares are available, Global are hopeless, even if you order from them nothing happens, i have to make my own 21'' blades and had to convert to a Honda carb. walk behind though, when i brought my mower i asked to see it running and i pointed out NO OIL to them, they came back with it running, oh good ok. tried it out at home for about 15min, then checked NO frigging OIL !
