  1. Me but only for a very short time......
  2. Yes only moneys in Thailand. As I just said but I will repeat it, it goes to the local family court for probate and with the letter from the court, take that to the bank and you can withdraw the money, ( this was told to me by the Krungsri bank in an email reply from them, when I asked if I could nominate my wife as beneficiary) .. along with his/her passport, and bank book, will or no will. Also I don't think the family court charges are much, if any, even Thais have to do this TTBOMK.
  3. I agree 100% they normally work out at around 1k for everyone that attends, we paid 20k for 20 people who attended, a friend of mine's, it was just a white 'chipboard' coffin I think. I supplied the Photo and frame. + 500b to a friend with a small fishing boat to take his ashes out to sea. No big party anywhere else.
  4. Wills don't really mean a lot in Thailand if you are legally married, as it will go for probate before the local family court takes up to 3months, their letter then can be used to take his funds out of a bank, unless of course you leave money to someone other than the wife.
  5. This was held at her restaurant far away from where he was cremated, and the donation box was an old Leo box, where al his friends Visa customers attended.
  6. Ah the good old trusted RTP guaranteed to break every law in the land, the law is for others no for them.
  7. What seems to have escaped people's memory is other offences he committed, owning a gun, previous blocking an ambulance and waving a gun at the driver, his dubious 'work' owning an elephant sanctuary being funded by a Charity and yet he was allegedly paying I mil in rent for his pool villa every month. IMO jail time followed by life ban to Thailand, he sounds like a loose cannon to me. Would you want him living near you ?
  8. What on earth is 'Approved housing' ?
  9. Yes I wanted to keep it in the 3rd person but hey it's out there now, maybe members here that knew him and said they were his friend can go 'donate' to her fund.
  10. Yep I must confess my friend, no point in upsetting my wife that's like shooting the messenger, plus I know she doesn't have that kind of money.
  11. There is one part missing, my disabled friend that needed his 'services' for a visa (long story) who lived nearby and was cremated at our local Temple, he did not come "I only met him once" he was living 1 km away , yet 5 other falang came to give me moral support, even though they hardly knew him, a couple had never met him, as with the Thais that came because he was a friend of my wife.
  12. OK I should have said they didn't donate much, there apparently was only 2 falang there (aka Customers of his agent services) the rest were poor Thai family of hers.
  13. I did not like the bloke nor did I want a 6 hr. hour journey to go up north for his cremation, my wife had to make her own way back on public transport. I gave my wife 2k for the trip.
  14. Who said she didn't go ? Edit; She also is one of my wife's best friends.
  15. My wife just got back from the ceremony up north, and it was her that told me about the loan, that she would ask me for, I have told her you can tell her No, hopefully that is the last I'll hear about it. 🤞🏻
  16. Oh yeh I forgot to mention she has 2 land titles and 2 houses, the last on has just been finished, paid for by this Agent. So he was getting a good income.
  17. Not only that but once all this is done and dusted, she is moving far away back to her home town (where the cremation was) . It's a Red Buzzer from me.
  18. My wife pays into a village fund for not only her cremation but mine also, also has 2 cars in my name which she would be able to sell, and substantial money in my bank, once Probate has gone through, any money I give away now, would be less for her, on my demise and less for my hospital bills. She deservers my money more than some Agents wife IMO.
  19. I do have sympathy but, he and her brought it upon themselves, if it was my own/wife's family member then maybe I would . Had he married her legally at an Amphur then she would be entitled to his money.
  20. Much the same as this bloke, although he gave that up once he had heart problems, plus he was very overweight, as for a pension I do not know but his income was as a visa agent.
  21. Well they didn't donate hence her request. He was popular with his customers as an agent but that is it.
  22. He had/has more money than my 'Friend' and has family overseas, my friend is also self funded for health, he might need his money sooner. How long does an insurance take to pay out on death ? In my opinion she shouldn't have spent so much on the ceremony, plus the fact his car is registered in her Daughters name, but she doesn't want to sell it.
  23. One agent has just died, so they are looking to top up their income with a 'Tip". Maybe......
  24. I do follow their rules, but they are complaining to me about how much work it is for them. So Please enlighten me to a better option, I have no intension of locking up 800k a year, and 100% I will not use an agent.
