Check any older BMW or Merc very carefully its not uncommon here for the engine and gearbox to be replaced by a V6 from japan as the bodies and chassis hold up well by the engines and gearboxe get shagged and mullahed by thai mechanics , i have seen dozens of these conversions over the years on german cars some barely out of warramty with Toyota,Honda or Nissan V6 under the hood .
All caused by people not noticing that the radiator has drained after being damaged by a stone according to a TV expert.

The only thing that has changed in the village is that the clubhouse (which was rarely used and poorly maintained anyway) has been lost until someone decides to make a go of it.
The security rarely stopped anyone from coming or going and dogs have always been allowed to roam by negligent owners.
I take umbrage with the village being 'upscale' too. Sub 3million baht homes are hardly 'upscale'.
The reality is, that very little has changed for the majority of people who live there.

Nothing in Thailand is going to improve economically until they can get grown ups voted into office instead of self centered, single minded children.
I doubt foreigners are allowed to run for office here.

Have you tried searching for an MC22 (or MC19 if you want a slightly older model)?
Nope, but I might now
May go for a 4 stroke 400, but read a lot of horror stories...... any more input?
Great bikes, bullet proof. But sadly, not Thai proof so be prepared to get a proper mechanic if needed to undo all the Thai botching.

What has a stone/rock through the radiator/oil filter got to do with servicing.
That happens a lot does it?
Maybe I should ask the 20 or so vehicles that I have seen recently if that is what happened.

Yes, a reflection of the big Ford sign that you can see the bottom of to the left of the photo.

SUV? It looks like a better looking Nissan Juke to me. Just like an inflated hatcback car.
It's a mini-SUV, and yes, it's much better looking than the Nissan Juke (one of which tried to merge into my lane with me in the way last week - it didn't work very well for the ignorant p***k).

Looking through the ads it seems incredible that there are so many relatively low mileage cars with new or rebuilt engines. Is basic servicing really beyond the scope of many car owners (Thai and foreign)? One could perhaps be forgiven if it was just a crappy Vios or something, but when it's an expensive imported vehicle, I really can't work it out.

Don't want the topic to die off.
Nissan now has the NEW Almera. Price went up, but the top of the line is only 9000 more than before.
Anyone have feedback? I may buy a car very soon. Any other comparisons?
Yes, it's still underpowered and fugly.

Finally..... I ordered a Mazda CX-5 2.2 diesel today... Wrong date though, will be corrected tomorrow
So you gave up on the idea of having a fun car. Fair enough.

Just watched a head to head against the MV Augusta. The Ducati won it, but the consensus was that both bikes are horribly flawed.

Big Wing have some available.

I'm out in the sticks (Isaan) and there's not a lot of choice up here.
Not sure if you're near Udon or not, but Tool Pro stock a number of compressors.

Actually you have the CCTV footage, the security guy and her licencse plate and name. Just give that to your insurance and then at least you will have your car repaired without any increased premium. I really think your insurance company can help you out with this problem as her car has to be registered somewhere too. In my last accident we both had the same company, made it even faster.
And just forget about her, no need to talk with her any further as all the evidence needed is there and your insurance should take care......now you only have to find a taxi while you wait for your repaired car
Edit, yes just what NBD says should be true.
At last! The correct answer.
Your insurance company should do all the leg work to make her insurance pays. If she has no insurance, your insurance will deal with it and should inform the police. If it makes you feel better, a couple of heavy key lines down the side of her car should do the trick.

More tosh from Toyota for people who don't enjoy driving.

^ Honda seem to be in the habit of making stupid seats at the moment. The new Wave has a similarly badly placed hump in it as does the CB500X.

Here's one I saw at Ford in Udon.

Saw a Fiesta 1000cc at Central Plaza, nice looking little motor.
Nice price at nearly 800K too! 125 hp / litre is nice output, and beats the 1.6 in that respect. Should have good economy too, but no manual transmission I believe.
City is a better all rounder. 125 Bhp and Service Centres that work as well.
And uses twice as much fuel than the Fiesta too.

sonic is better. powerful engine better ergonomics.
keep it or get the new suzuki raider 150 cc air cooled dohc 4 valve engine. i think 65k - 70k thb. blue one looks cool.
Just had a look at the Suzuki site. I'm not sure they sell many Jelatos if this is how they view it.
The Boring Killer. Hmmmm...

In terms of value for money, I think pound for pound their cars are still a step ahead of the competition in LOS. Not so with the bikes IMO.
You can't be serious? 10 years ago, maybe, but Honda are still there, 10 years in the past.
As for the likes of the Wave, we have had 4 over the last 6 years. The first one (125i) was solid and nice to ride. The next 125i never felt right from the moment I rode it home from the dealer. We then got a 110i for me to poodle around on and it was very well made and I preferred it to the 2nd 125i. We got rid of the 2nd 125i and bought a new one about a year ago. It was the best one yet and had more storage and a better ride due to bigger wheels.
My wife doesn't like the feet-forward automatic bikes, so the Wave is her preferred bike.
We did look at a Yamaha 135cc bike. It was really nice, but had absolutely no storage space so we ended up getting Wave #4. I also don't want to replace the battery every 6 months like nearly everyone I know with a small Yamaha does.
