  1. There is no easy way to remove film. It can be done, but it's not a 5 minute, clean job.

We had the windscreen on out truck replaced a few months ago. The windscreen that was on it had no film because rather than look like a gangsta, I prefer to be able to see clearly at night. So Ford took it to an automotive glass installer and they very nicely installed film on it 'Flee!'. So the next thing Ford had to do was take it back to the fitter to get it removed. The guy finished late that day as they took a few hours taking the film off - I think they returned the car to us at about 7pm.

They're still too stupid to ask a customer what they might want. I had a namecard totally redesigned once without asking. They might've looked crap, but at least they were free...

  2. Oh, forgot to add something. I bought it from Pattaya Ford. Never in my life have I seen such a hot saleswoman. 5'9" and heels with a slit miniskirt. Everytime she walked, people stared. And no, she wasn't a ladyboy. Born and raised in Pattaya. So not all girls there are working at bars.smile.png

She works down Yodsak in the evenings...

  3. Thanks, I'll see if there's a Mitsubish dealer nearby and check out the Lancer. I think the FIesta would be too small, I'm a bit lanky. I've already ruled out the Honda City, Mitsubishi Shopping Cart and the Toyota Turd.

I'm 6'2" and found the City to be roomier than the Civic. I was in a Swift the other day and had loads of room.

These small cars seem to have a lot more thought put into their interior design than some of the medium sized cars I've been in.

The Mitsu Lancer is a nice looking car, just needs a nice V6...

The Swift it's nice little car and there is enough adjustments to fit a tall driver...but there will be not much space left for the passenger behind...Hondas and Toyotas are pretty standard....but Almera has the most space in the back.

Not much space behind me whatever I drive!

The Almeras seem pretty good value for money, but they're gutless and seem to have a maximum speed of about 30kph - more annoying than tuk tuks.

Did you notice how much lower the R bars were to the F's, or was there not much difference?

  6. Lets assume Richards claim is correct (i don't know if it is or not), maybe the japanese brands have more "serious" issues because the bikes get pushed harder from the owners. Just a "maybe"...

Sorry I not say that one or another manufacturer is better or worse, I only speak about statistical figures which can be accessed by anybody who knows how to use the computer.

Personally I not claim the any manufacturer is better than another.

I don't know how to use a computer or google but i can click a link if you can provide one. Or is this forbidden by forum rules? wink.png

Fancy that - he seems to have disappeared from this thread...

  7. 500 series 20 - 25 percent less than actual price if you want to get a cb650f so lets say they paid you 165 k for your cb500f

Expensive to live on the bleeding edge & lose 20-25% of your purchase price in less than a year smile.png

Wong, Are you unhappy with your cb500f?

No. I'm very happy. More than enough power and very agile, but I'm a big chap and would like more space on the bike as my wife and I like to tour together and the 500 is as small as we can get away with.
