  1. Incorrect He asked them to "diagnose and fix a problem with engine power under load and at speeds > 70kph (likely fuel starvation" There are many videos that all indicated that as part of low power under load you check multiple items ranging from fuel pump, spark plugs air filter, fuel filter no check of engine oil required https://cartreatments.com/car-losing-power-when-accelerating/ The op mentions that his car was overdue a service now if he had asked the garage to do a service at the same time then the engine oil would have been checked
  2. In a further effort to fight against the spread of the virus, Emmanuel Macron’s government has announced new rules that included mandatory full vaccinations professional sportspeople in France, from January 15. https://www.sportsjoe.ie/rugby/ireland-france-vaccinated-players-six-nations-245318
  3. Judge Kelly said he was open to Djokovic giving evidence remotely from immigration detention. He also warned he would not be swayed by a Tennis Australia preference that the matter be resolved by Tuesday. “If I can say with the respect necessary, the tail won’t be wagging the dog here,” he said. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022/1/6/novak-djokovic-to-remain-in-detention-after-hearing-adjourned Doesn't seem that the judge is a huge tennis fan

  5. This post indicates that Thai pass not valid if you bring flight forward The 72 hour rule is for delayed flights after the departure time listed on the Thai Pass
  6. The other gripe that the lady has is “The room is nice but it is closed and we are not allowed to go out. . We are allowed outside at a special time during the day but because there are other covid-19 patients I don’t dare to go out there,” she says. If they had been allowed to isolate in the hotel would she have stayed in the hotel room 24/7 for the 10 day period or did she expect that she would be able to go out and carry on her holiday as normal. https://scandasia.com/travel-agency-tui-receives-more-criticism-after-norwegian-family-was-isolated-in-thailand/
  7. outbreak at school The children are students at Sjøskogen School, where the disease broke out before Christmas. On December 21, the municipality of s announced that a micro-infection had been confirmed in the school. She is critical of the fact that the school was open even though there was a lot of infection there. Before the end of last week, parents were told that everyone should come and take exams and get their kids tested. http://www.modularphonesforum.com/holidays-thailand-a-family-christmas-holiday-in-thailand-has-become-a-nightmare-for-corona-the-only-thing-we-want-now-is-to-go-home/
  8. This Thread has a different viewpoint on what has been reported in the Thai Media https://aseannow.com/topic/1243965-israeli-tourist-who-spent-four-days-on-the-run-after-testing-positive-for-covid-arrested-in-koh-samui/ Key Points Police said the man arrived in Thailand on December 17 and was placed in quarantine at a hotel in the Sukhumvit area. He took an RT-PCR test which came back positive for COVID-19 but the strain has yet to be determined. The patient then refused treatment before escaping the quarantine facility. Police said the man then hailed a taxi and travelled to Pattaya where he tried to check in to a hotel but was refused entry as he was unable to provide any travel documentation He stayed in Pattaya until December 19 where he rented a mini van and travelled to Chumphon. Police then picked him up on CCTV in Chumpon and discovered he was travelling to Koh Samui. On Wednesday, police tracked the man down to a restaurant at Naithon Beach.
  9. There are many reports of the Thai Police reviewing the CCTV footage of the Bangkok Hotels, We must assume that they didn't release the footage becuase it had no added value i.e if someone was wearing a baseball cap sunglasses and a full face mask unlikely anyone could identify him in the street There are many detailed articles that state he had hailed a taxi from a hotel in Sukhumvit to a hotel in Pattaya Upon reaching hotel in Pattaya, it appears that travel documents and covid test documents must be presented. Respondent refused to show travel documents. We must assume he was unwilling to show passport as that would expose that he recently arrived in Thailand and the Hotel would question why he didn't have the results of his RT-PCR from his stay and go hotel. reports state that he rented a black Toyota Alphard van which police caught on CCTV in Chumphon Once the Police were monitoring Road Camera CCTV is was only a matter of time until they located the van at Nathon beach , Koh Samui, and then visit all the tourist locations nearby Unable to provide a link as forum rules state English language only
  10. Unlikely scenario as reported by the Times of Israel He traveled by taxi to the city of Pattaya, where CCTV footage showed him trying to check in at a hotel but being rejected because he refused to show his passport. On Saturday, he called the Bangkok hotel and said he was visiting a friend at a hospital and would return later that day, which didn’t happen. Baruch then reportedly turned off his phone on Saturday night and traveled back to Bangkok and then to the southern island of Koh Samui. https://www.timesofisrael.com/israeli-faces-thailand-jail-time-after-leaving-quarantine-evading-police-for-5-days/ If he left the Bangkok Hotel with the hotel aproval why would he 1) Refused to show his passport when attempting to check into a Pattaya hotel 2) Why would he phone the Bangkok hotel and advised them he was visiting a friend in a hospital in near Soi Phetchaburi 47 Bangkok and he would return to the Bangkok hotel later in the day 3) I think its virtually impossible for a farang to rent a vehicle without producing a passport 4) He must have been unlucky when selecting vehicle of choice as it didn't come with any usb ports for charging his phone hence he was unable to charge phone if battery had run dry or could be he simply turned the phone off
  11. Pol Col Duangchote Suwancharas, superintendent of Thong Lor police, said the suspect pleaded guilty in court, so his punishment was reduced to a 2,000 baht fine. Immigration police have taken him into custody for deportation, Pol Col Duangchote said. https://www.thephuketnews.com/israeli-fined-for-fleeing-positive-omicron-result-82538.php
  12. It was you that originally posted Krabi, your post made no mention of Koh Lanta which is in the Krabi province, So now you stating that your post was incorrect thanks
  13. Phuket Airport to Krabi is 137KM travelling by road approx 2 hours and no car ferry required, I don't think there is any car ferry operating between Krabi and Phuket
  14. Here is a US comparison specs might differ slightly for the Asean Market https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/sony-x950h-vs-sony-x90j/1777/21562?usage=1&threshold=0.10 Personally I went for the x950h and have no issue with black levels they are not inky black like an OLED but come pretty close I found the standard settings when opening the box to bright, brightness was set to 35 and colour was set to 60, I found brightness needs to be set to around 3 for SD and colour set to 50 This video is useful for both Android and Google sets as there are lots of icons that you might not require and they take up memory and screen space 11 Little-Known Hacks to Speed Up Your Sony TV Performance https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SW1S68w4Uvc On the x950h if you reverse the feet i.e put left foot rightside and right foot leftside you can reduce the footprint of the stand down to 80cm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0z7QRCx_Gs if viewing in shops looking at the oled demos gives you a good idea of black levels performance

  18. If you not in a hurry I would wait for the 1st of January Both Shopee, Lazada have special promotions of the day of the month for example this tv you could buy for 32-34,000 baht direct from sony Thailand and delivered by Sony Thailand with 3 year warranty Another TV to checkout is the SONY KD-65X9500H main differences are the x9500h is much brighter than the X90J which is good for watching 4k. if you into gaming go for the x90j has it has hdmi 2.1 ports if you want best picture quality go for the x9500h X90J is mid range model launched June 2021 launch price 55,000 X9500H was the top of the range model launched Oct/Nov 2020 launch price 80,000 LCDTV Thailand is a good shop to buy from but if Sony Thailand is selling same price or lower buy from Sony Thailand Prices for both the x90j and x9500h were between 32k-35K on 12th December 2021
  19. Thanks for confirming that what you posted about "Under International law you are not allowed to surrender your passport to anyone" was an old wives tale and no such law exists anywhere in the world
  20. In many EU countries their in country laws state that Hotels should retain passports for the duration of stay here is UK Gov advise on living and working in Saudi Arabia It’s illegal to work without your sponsor being noted on your Iqama, and your sponsor will normally hold your passport, while you retain your Iqama. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/living-in-saudi-arabia My Point is your claim that "Under International law you are not allowed to surrender your passport to anyone" is false and we know that to be true because you are unable to provide any link to support such law as no law exists
  21. The 360-degree Surround View Monitor (AVM) was installed in all VL models since 2019, initally you coulld only view camera through rear view mirror , Nissan provided at cost upgrade at some point where you could view through both rear view mirror and the entertainment display unit. Some people choose to install aftermarket cameras that allow you to both view 360 and record 360 useful if some decides to key your car
  22. I don't know regarding Nissan future product line Current Terra was released August 2021 In May of this year discounts of between 250,000-300,000 were available without asking https://www.car250.com/nissan-terra-2021-22.html Brutal reduction, angry with covids! Nissan Terra 2.3 Twin Turbo : 999,000 – 1,199,000 baht (discount up to 3 hundred thousand baht) https://www.headlightmag.com/special-price-nissan-terra-twin-turbo-covid19/
  23. I would look closely at the manfacture year of the Nissan Terra there has been at least 2/3 model changes in the past 3 years, this time last year Nissan was offering 250,000-300,000 baht discount to shift current stock which does have an impact on used prices
  24. I think you will find that an old wives tale hence that's why you didn't provide a link to support your claim
