  1. Do you really think that no alcohol sales between 2 & 5 have any bearing on problems in Thailand? Most murders here are Yabba connected anyway. Most drink driving accidents/deaths are caused by people drinking in pubs & clubs outside those hours.
  2. I guess that means they will scrap the silly law. It used to be like that in UK a long long time ago.
  3. Public holidays and banking hours We can only move your money during normal banking hours. So if you send money outside of those hours, it may take longer than usual. National holidays can also affect the transfer speed, so if you’re sending to a different country, make sure to check that it doesn’t fall on a holiday. Does that mean normal UK hours or Thai hours, which can be 7 hours different? Thai banks close at 16.00, which is only 9am in UK.
  4. Are you saying no WISE transfers before 10.00 or after 16.00?
  5. I, like you, can use the THB balance I keep on my WISE Multi-currency card, online or to buy in stores. But at the ATM machine it wants 250 Bht fee, which I will not pay as I have a Bkk Bank card. WISE is still, for me, the best way to transfer each month to comply with Immigration. Long Term Stay reason takes 24 hours to arrive, no problems.
  6. I just completed this quiz. My Score 70/100 My Time 122 seconds
  7. My two sons are both musicians in Dubai & bahrain. Last year my youngest, 31, was renting an apartment from a Scouse guy, Came home one afternoon to be confronted by a couple of plain clothed police, who asked if he had had a 'smoke'. He replied 'yesterday' to which he was detained........for 70 days, before being released without charge. It cost me personally GBP 23000 to get him released. it seems the Scouse was into heavy drug supply, and has subsequently got 5 years, and his suppliers both got Life. I have been there several times in last few years, and absolutely hate the place, just mile on mile of skyscrapers, highways, very expensive restaurants and shopping malls, mostly full of customerless shops. Much prefer Bahrain.
  8. ...here..........if no-one tells you, you will always get it wrong.
  9. I think that the 'radios' in most modern cars have Bluetooth connectivity, so you can play any music or podcast from your phone, be it live or downloaded. It also allows hands-free phone calls, or message reception. My 2012 Toyota Vigo has that facility.
  10. You mean eat HER for breakfast ! 555
  11. No, made in Thailand, or maybe China.
  12. As do so many phones these days.
  13. And if I have a wired/WiFi printer?
  14. Ahh, that explains it. Almost ANY hotel, bar, Mum&Pa shop have printers. They DO NOT usually store your data, why would they. Just give them the Bht 10 and go.
  15. Where please is local. And does that include the cost of renewal?
  16. What are you on about.......................burgers?
  17. Santana was 70/80 pop....well he was very popular, as was Steely Dan. But not really Jazz.
  18. So did a couple of the Wilson brothers. But Brian's still here....just about. Same age as Macca who is playing to 23500 fans tonight in Manchester. How stupid on Manchester Derby night!
  19. Yes, that's the one I got from Shopee. Great unit. What's the operating system of the computer got to do with it? I have an LED lamp plugged into mine as well. Was 1200 not 1950, with 2 years onsite warranty.
  20. So if the bloke has had his meat & veg removed??? More like what genitals they had at BIRTH. Or Chromosomes.
  21. Take a photo of your meter same time every day. Get a fuse box monitor to show them that the readings coincide. My Zircon Hybrid 1000 keeps my PC set up on for 2 hours, and if I turn the monitor off (unplug it ), much longer.
