This is, of course, why older guys go to Pattaya, in my opinion.

Guys in 20s, 30s, even 40s can pick up non sex workers in other places in Thailand.

Could be wrong,  its there any other reason am old guy would go to Pattaya?

Prolly true, all yound people i know (westerners, koreans, japanese, singaporeans, thais mostly) are either on a thai island or bkk/chiang mai. I don't know of a single person in my age (mid 30s) that lives or visits pattaya, at all. Personally i've never been there except one time in jomtien to look at a used boat... It's pretty much the only place in thailand i have absolutely no desire to ever visit.

The type of vaping we are talking about is use heating a chamber, and smoking the byproducts of the dry herb.

You're consuming much less harmful particulates, and there is usually less of a cloud than smoke when consuming it this way.

Which is obviously far more harmful than vaping eliquids... Same as IQOS. less than smoking a blunt tho.

Removing the smoke may not but the modality of inhaling vapor is very new to the human experience.

Yeah except for every human who ever took a hot shower or bath... or had a cold and did steam inhalation......

Over the last year or two the cutting down of large, old trees on empty plots of land around the condo building I have lived in for eleven years has been really sad. These beautiful trees provided shade and a lovely environment. This land tax nonsense is ridiculous and is causing serious harm to the environment.

Absolutely, but even worse on the islands and mainland near the sea. This will cause extreme drainage and erosion problems for Thailand's coasts ????

This statement from the OP seems to be just a statement to cover their greed.

Most, if not all Steel used in Thailand will come from China, ( who by the way are the Worlds largest producer by a long way )

A price rise of 3.9 % Y on Y would seem to suggest that the prices are extortionate.

For that kind of price rise in the Construction of a House in Thailand, at least 25 % of the total quantity ( by cost ) of the materials used would have to be Steel.

If the Builders I have seen locally are anything to go by, they are reducing the amount of steel used in the Construction to reduce their costs and increase profit margins.

No, it seems japan is the biggest source of Steel.

"If the Builders I have seen locally are anything to go by, they are reducing the amount of steel used in the Construction to reduce their costs and increase profit margins."

Only a fool would allow that, builders have to follow the bill of quantity they signed off on, everything else is a scam.

Thanks. And I am reading the recommended book already. Interesting! And I have a lot to learn.

And then there is of course the money issue. I am willing to pay a couple of thousand USD to have a good sound system. But when 3 or 5,000 is not enough anymore then at some stage the question comes up: How important is that for me. Am I really willing to spend huge amounts of money on that? Especially with the subs. One good sub is already expensive. Two or more of them cost a lot of money and then I can't even crank them up in my apartment. I guess one should be enough for me.

DIY for subwoofers is always an option, start small with a single one and upgrade over time (or not), most peoples audio system grows over the years, no one really starts with lots of stuff.

    Partsexpress has good DIY kits.

Small subs like the SVS micros, REL t5 or t7 etc work also fine for small rooms, position and having multiples is more important than lots of headroom and a bigger sub imo. Especially in condos. Thailand also has a healthy used market on facebook marketplace, fortune town in bkk etc...

personally in our condo i have a KEF LS50W system and 2x KC62 subwoofers from KEF, it does well enough and i don't need an extra AMP.

It's simple. If you make noise inside your dwelling that other people can hear in their dwelling then you  are being too noisy and antisocial.

There is simply no need  for loud domestic music systems anymore with the development  of ear bud/ headphones  technology. Nobody need ever listen to headbanging highway hell ever again just because of adolescent  retardation

What about people learning/playing instruments? Piano, Saxophon? According to your logic none of that should be allowed, but all of that is allowed during normal daytimes.

And I was thinking if one is enough or if I should buy two of them. ????

With low frequencies the room modes are the biggest issues, ur comment about a second sub wasn't too far off.

https://kaistale.com/blog/130928roommodes/index.html This is how modes spread.

Ideally you would have 2 or more subwoofers and position them in a away that the bass is good at your listening positon, geddes recommends 3 subwoofers, weltis research (harman kardon) 4 (midway on the room walls, or in corners). That way you don't need to turn volume up to 11 to have decent feeling, which also helps with your neighbours...

2 or more subs aren't actually "louder" as they cancel each other modes out, they just give you a more even, less drowing bass. As you are familiar with REW, you can use the Room Simulator to play around with subwoofer placement.

For soundproofing itself, the home theater crowd in the US uses mostly green glue sandwiched between drywall, i would recommend avsforum and co for more info on how to: https://www.greengluecompany.com/ . That said, to really really soundproof a room is expensive and hard to do as i painfully found out.

PS: if u want to read more besides the book you already mentioned this one from dr floyd toole is considered the best "audio bible": https://www.amazon.com/Sound-Reproduction-Psychoacoustics-Loudspeakers-Engineering/dp/0240520092

That's was Germans like total control and if they cant reach it they put their own people in jail who refusing to get vaccinated. finding a victim blaming them they good in it. look to the past. sorry but you guys are complete out of control.

The only country in the world without speed limits, a country where u can run around with a beer in your hand without getting arrested unlike america, country that is open to all neighbouring countries without travel restrictions.

Yeah total control freaks unlike Thailand and co. ????

It's quite obvious that germanies healthcare system is collapsing, many nurses quit, ICU beds are down as no personal is available and/or is dead. Unvaccinated people are an extra burden on every nurse and doctor and thus the whole population, surgeries are moved as hospitals are busy with covid and have no extra beds, but oh well, who cares as long as some coward doesn't have to get a syringe in his arm?

    2) The 3x5 inch photos I submitted (on photo paper) weren't good enough for her, she then shows me other applicant's photos and they're huge, one photo per each A4 sheet of paper.

I got just told to bring 2 INCH photos, nothing bigger, this is for bangkok!

So what happens if the place gets robbed after the OP turned off the cameras?  The OP will be complaining about lack of security.  Honestly, I don't see what the big deal is with these cameras.  The OP said himself the cameras were all outside.  Classic example of making a mountain out of a molehill.

What <deleted> up argument is this even, the op wouldnt have a problem with the CCTV itself, if he would control is.

But it's controlled by some creepy old dude who doesn't live there, like a psychopath...

i would just replace the NVR (recording unit) with my own so only i have acccess to the CCTV....

  11. Very simple, u leased the house, its temporary yours now. It's legally not his for the time being, nor is he allowed to enter it without notice.

You can do what u want, including throwing out <deleted> you don't want, with the only condition that you have to restore it in its original form when you move out (minus wear off). Just throw it out.

Also as he's living in the UK and is thus not a thai tax resident, you need to withold 15% of his rent for taxes, it's now ur joint responsibility to pay this to the thai gov, hope you are aware of that...
