I have read posts on here of people in a similar position to you who took a couple of villager neigbours with their ID cards and bought them lunch on the way back as a thank you - doesn't sound like a big deal.
It is not a big deal.
Some trolls just like to turn it into one.

While I do admit that retirement is/was a little easier, marriage is not as bad as some make it sound.
Collected my 15th consecutive extension today.
3 different offices and never had a problem.
15 years ago it took 8 months of under consideration.
So much easier nowadays.????

Marriage extension is no hardship to do and requires less money in the bank or monthly income.
Takes a month to get the result as the application is sent to the regional headquarters (not necessarily Bangkok) to be ratified.
Don't listen to negative people on here.
It really is quite a simple process.

It is 2 months before and 3 months after.
Following that you need to keep 400,000 in the bank.

60 days at immigration. 1,900 Baht.
After that you can apply for 12 month extension if you qualify. 400,000 in the bank or 40,000 monthly income.
1,900 baht. fee.
Up to 15 months at Savanakhet. 5,000 Baht and requires you to leave the country every 90 days.

Applying for Non Imm Visa as part of the retirement extension is available at every Immigration office providing you qualify.

Yes. All depends on what you have.

Not needed but worth getting for other reasons

The Visa you got in Brussels is valid for one year from date of issue.
Every time you enter Thailand during that year you will get 12 months stay.
Giving a total of almost 2 years. if you exit and enter just before that year is up.
-
The Visa you got from the Embassy in Brussels.
On what date was it issued?
What is the enter before date on that Visa?
Forget all the other stuff for a minute.
Can you upload a screenshot of it?
-
The actual date would help.
-
No need to use an agent.
When was your original Visa in Belgium issued?
It is important to know.
-
As Joe said, what is your current permission to stay?
When was the Visa issued?
Retirement visa
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
