Can Thailand take another 20 years of this incompetent, self serving a-hole?
Give him a break. He said in 20 years, he has only been in office for 7 years and so far has achieved nothing.
So therefore he has another 13 years to continue this roaring this success rate.

OK! I'm all for the protection of kids at school gates.
BUT I count 12 cops at that gate, not counting the 2 with caps
with their backs turned.
Surely they could be more organised!!!!

Thai cops struggling under debt totalling Bt270bn, says police chief
By THE NATION
Suwat Jangyodsuk
Thai police officers owe a total of Bt270 billion in debts, national police chief Suwat Jangyodsuk revealed on Friday.
Suwat told Thansettakij newspaper that around 209,000 officers had taken loans to support their family or to purchase large items such as cars or houses.
The police chief said he has asked Krungthai Bank and the Government Savings Bank to suspend debt payments.
He is also seeking ways of generating more revenue for his subordinates. One idea is to set up a market for police spouses to run businesses. Another is to look at assets confiscated by the Anti-Money Laundering Office.
He added that he has contacted corporations to request scholarships for police officers’ children.
Suwat also pledged to give a live internet broadcast explaining the police force’s mission and allow members of the public to question him in real time.
“I will not hide anything and am ready for all questions,” he said.

OK Mr. Police Chief, it's a well known fact among Thais that
ALL police officers have to pay for their promotions.
So what was your total debt to get to where you are and how did you repay it?

Three updated timelines reveal more details on movements of infected singer, PR manager, govt official
By The Nation
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has updated the timelines of three Covid-19 patients who were reportedly unwilling on Wednesday to provide personal information, raising eyebrows and anger among the public.
According to earlier information from the capital’s 647th patient, a male singer and actor, he took a birthday cake to a friend at a condominium in Lat Phrao district on January 8 and joined a party at Banyan Tree Hotel that night.
New, added information made clear that he was at home on January 12 when he started to develop a fever. He also had a cough, a sore throat, phlegm and mucus.
On January 13, his sense of smell disappeared. A test on January 20 showed he was infected, and he was admitted to hospital.
Bangkok’s 657th patient, a male PR manager, originally stated that he went to a friend’s birthday party on January 16 and returned home, where he stayed from January 17-21.
The new, detailed timeline says that on the afternoon of January 9, he visited The Commons shopping complex in Wattana district. On January 10 he went to the Sa-Ti Handcraft coffee shop in Phaya Thai district.
On January 11 and 12 he stayed and worked from home. On the evening of January 12 he visited Tops market at Central Rama 9. On January 14-15, he worked from home.
On January 16, he attended a friend’s birthday party at the Renaissance Ratchaprasong Hotel and returned home around midnight. From January 17-19, he worked at home.
On January 20 he visited the Laze BKK Café in Phaya Thai district. On January 21 he dined at MK restaurant, Central Rama 9, and on January 22 he went for a check and was found to be infected. He was subsequently hospitalised.
The 658th patient, a male government official, originally said he attended a friend’s birthday party at Banyan Tree Hotel. He did not provide any details about where he stayed or which places he visited from January 10-12 and January 14-21.
The new information provides more details: on January 15 he stayed home in Ratchathewi district and was found to have food poisoning at midnight. On January 16, a friend [who was later confirmed to be infected] came to check up on him. On January 17, he went to Chatuchak Weekend Market at around 5pm.
He dined at the Factory Moo-katha [Thai-style BBQ] restaurant in Bang Pho from 6.30pm to 8pm that day. On January 18 he worked at a government office in Pathumwan area, and ate som tam at Nong Ree Joy Ratchayothin from 7.30pm-9pm.
On January 19 he again worked at the government office, then went to a hospital to get medicine for a friend.
He also had a doctor’s appointment at noon that day, then ate som tam at a street stall from 7pm-7.30pm before heading back to his accommodation.
On January 21 he stayed home in Ratchathewi and received news that his friend was infected with Covid-19. He went for a test and was admitted to hospital on January 22 after the results showed he too was infected.

I really can't understand why the citizens in Thailand put up with the BS that comes out of the RTP's mouthpieces.
Dear RTP their are laws here that MUST be obeyed.

My sons' school have said that they would extend the school year
He has been "learning" on line for the last month or so.
I really don't understand why MOED cannot make a decision on the value of
educating high/ average/normal fee paying students "on line", compared to face to face education.
I mean is it evaluated as being equal or not? And if not is a certificate the same value?
The MOED are the governing body, so while this pandemic has caused severe
disruption to this academic year can it really be judged to be the same as previous years?

Bangkok police installing more security cameras across capital
By THE NATION
The Metropolitan Police Bureau (MPB) announced on Monday that 2,500 of the 9,138 CCTV cameras planned for Bangkok have been installed.
The new CCTV project, expected to be completed by March, is part of moves to prevent crimes in the capital.
MPB deputy chief Pol Maj-General Jirapat Phumjit said the new cameras had been installed as a backup for the old ones. Also, officers can monitor the new cameras via their phones or monitors set up in their station.
Jirapat also said that each officer will be put in charge of eight to 10 cameras in their area of jurisdiction.
Howmany
The installation will cost around Bt36 million and will be funded by the MPB, he added.

Think about this for a moment.
An unsafe level is +2.5 mg.
That means that people living in that area are being poisoned by the air that they breathe.
So this [un]elected government is urging them and the poisoners to do something about it!!!!
I may be naive, but to me surely it is the governments duty to put a stop to it??????

That'll never work, it smacks of multi-tasking. One crackdown at a time.

I just hope they don't get around to the 'leaving the house without underwear' crackdown.
Check that one out with Greg Norman.

They do love their buzz words. STEM is already becoming outdated and has evolved into STEAM to include the Arts and provide a more holistic approach. However, both STEM and STEAM require the same principles, which are that students are able to think critically, analyse problems and be innovative in providing practical solutions. Without a major overhaul in the Thai education system to train and equip teachers with these skills to pass on to their students it just isn't going to happen in Thailand.
Perhaps less of them carrying a stick at morning assembly would be a start.

One question from this weeks sermon.
Please define what you consider Thai bashing!
There are good and bad things that can be said about any country.
Readers can make up their own minds about the right and wrong about the comment.
